Let me ponder around this thought. That day I am moving up to Ubud. I may be able to pick you up at the airport, (ck-in first or later), than you can visit Alila Ubud where I will stay, and you can join the dinner with my family around Ubud, and later that night the driver can drive you down to Westin (and no worry about this, the driver lives near the airport I think.) Or are you interested staying one night in Alilia Ubud? We get the rates IDR1,000,000 nett, about USD105 inclusive. But of course no SPG points for you..

CGK, that sounds like a lovely afternoon & evening, thank you for thinking of it! If you think it might work out, I would certainly enjoy joining you! I would most likely head back south that evening if the driver is as well, particularly if you think we'll all head back north for at least part of the day on Saturday. Thanks again!

While I don't know if my MP balance can afford another hit this year after a SQ F (USA-Asia) and NH F (Asia-UK) award this is quite tempting. Wonder what my employer will think if I tell them I'm headed to DPS for a weekend. Now only if I can see how long I'll be in MCO prior to the weekend of DPS. cawhite60156, on the bright side, I'll be in SAT for 7 weeks once I get back from Asia next week so this means I could be joining the ORD crew for their weekly outings as I plan to check out of the hotels my company is paying for on my days off and use that money to pad my UA account which is lagging big time.

That would be great if you can swing this trip! But you'll always be welcome in Chicago! As to how my employer will react to this trip...I'm trying to keep it as quiet as possible (of course I tried that for last week's trip and it didn't quite work out because as soon as everyone sees me taking 2+ consecutive vacation days it's the old "which ocean are you crossing on this trip & where are you going?")

Two more pax (?)

Greetings all. Just found this thread from the cross-posting reference in the SQ forum (without that, I'd never have found it). I'm a bit late in coming to the discussion, as Mr. Megatop and I just finished a quick long weekend in San Francisco, which left me out of touch.

We will be in Bali around the time of your festivities, so we'd like to join if plans work themselves out or at least meet up with a few fellow FTers. We arrive in DPS on SQ 146 at 19:10 on Saturday, May 28th, so we'll probably miss the dinners you've planned. Anything on the table for Sunday or thereafter?

We depart Bali on June 2nd, and we'll stopover in Singapore for two days.

For those of you jetting around on SQ at the same time, I'm flying transpacific on a DL award in Raffles , meeting up with Mr. Megatop in Bangkok, then we'll fly together on SQ Y to DPS. Details below, in case anyone's on the same flights or transiting at Changi at the same time.

May 24-28 Bangkok
May 24 DL 1126 ATL-LAX (me) (F)
May 25 SQ 29 LAX-TPE-SIN (me) (J)
May 26 SQ 64 SIN-BKK (me) (Y)
Peninsula Bangkok

May 28-June 2 Bali
May 28 SQ 63 BKK-SIN (us) (Y)
May 28 SQ 146 SIN-DPS (us) (Y)
Ritz Carlton Bali

June 2-4 Singapore
June 2 SQ 143 DPS-SIN (us) (Y)
Four Seasons Singapore
June 4 FD5011 SIN-BKK (him)
June 4 SQ 12 SIN-NRT-LAX (me) (J)
June 4 DL 1886 LAX-ATL (F)

I am glad to hear the two of you can join the DO. Saturday night, eventhough you missed the dinner but perhaps two of you can join us for drinks, or bar hopping till sunrise. Yeah, like I can stay awake! I am getting old! Sunday most of us will leave on SQ147 at 8pm. So plenty of time to have another party. May be we will crash your wonderful Ritz Carlton swimming pool ...

June 4 SQ 12 SIN-NRT-LAX (me) (J)
Well, I got my seat for SQ12 June 6 Monday though!

I think Cheryl will be on SQ 19 24 May LAX-21:20 SIN-05:40** If you can leave earlier on DL355, you can connect to SQ19. I think it's more comfy on A345.

No luck in F on other routes yet? Yesterday I called UA Award Desk (for my other trip), and casually asked the agent to check 24 MAY LAX-SIN on SQ F. She said yes there is F for LAX-NRT but only C for NRT-SIN. But definitely SFO-HKG on SQ is full.

I haven't been checking for the LAX-SIN-NRT flight on the 24th as I don't know if I can get the entire day off work that day (my dog is eating up my vacation days at a frightening pace these days ). Was trying for a while on the 25th, but no availability. I'll probably stick with the outbound as reserved. I've been holding off on ticketing as I've been hoping for F availability SIN-NRT on the 30th...and voila, it just cleared this afternoon as did the ORD space! The agent I talked with on Saturday afternoon was kind enough to offer to push it back a week for me.

Yeah, I know the A345 would be more comfy than the 777-200ER, but I can't leave ATL any earlier and I'd rather not mess with success in the sense of what I've got. SQ awards through DL SkyMiles are so difficult to come by, I'm just gonna leave it be. I'll get to walk around Chiang Kai Shek a bit, maybe get a passport stamp if the flight's early and the lines are short.

Well if you change your mind...would always enjoy some FT company in the front of the 345

You never know what award availabilities are. I think there is one or two award seats on SQ19, unless other had snatched them.
