Max greens fee is roughly $60 with cart and I'll drive up to an hour. As for teeing off, I'd love to be on the course around 8 or 8:30. What about you?

Not Big Run. It's way way way long and often into the wind. One of my cousins is an ex-hockey player that hits his drive about 285 on average, and he says that Big Run is too long for even him. Plus it's probably more than an hour for you, as are most of the courses I normally play like Broken Arrow down in Lockport.
Where's Blackhawk at?
Village Links of Glen Ellyn might be a good choice. There are also some nice courses up near Mundelein, but you should save those for the 21st since others who live north sound like possible attendees.

If we play after 2pm on Saturday, the price drops from $65 to $25.

I'd lean towards the twilight rates as well. I do play fast though my score is in the same range as ElmhurstNick, I think. But pulling out of here at 6AM on a Saturday, or earlier, and NOT for the reason of catching a flight, is on the unlikely side.

How long does it usually take for you to play a round?
