Bad Timing! I will be enjoying my first taste of a CR7's F cabin on a run to CVG at the precise time you will be meeting.

I will raise a toast to all of you from the Waffle House in Erlanger, KY.

I'd love to find good BBQ in the Bay area, something which has eluded me to date, but will be in Manhattan that weekend.

VPescado, what is this strange fascination with Waffle House?

Have you tried Memphis Minnies in the Haight?

As far as my feelings about WH go, you can view post 33 of this thread. I am considering posting a CVG WH DO for the late evening of 3/12/05.

It was 7 degrees below zero at my house this a.m., we had another foot of snow two days ago, I am soooo ready to be in OAK, where it's predicted to be in the 70's this weekend, even though it is only for 6 hours!

Yes, I meant to move myself to the "definite" list some time ago, but forgot.

My car can hold four (or even five, if necessary) adults including myself. The ride is still being offered. (Plus, I just had some maintenance and repairs done, including a front brake job and a replaced idle timing valve or whatever it's called that was causing difficulty starting the car , so the car runs, and stops, better than it has in months! )

My only request is that we try to have one reasonably central meeting point in SF for all pickups. @:-) Might be late for the party otherwise. Multiple dropoffs are OK.

And I will be happy to bring back some BBQ-to-go as well.

Would say that you might want to consider leaving the flannel shirt home but being a native San Franciscan I can also attest that the marine layer can come in at a moments notice and you will want two flannel shirts.

Edited to add 5:30pm, friday-sorry folks, i just got a dose of maternal AND paternal guilt for not going to dinner with them on saturday so now, and regretfully, i have to cancel. but i do look forward to meeting some new f/t'ers in the future (and and of course saying hello again to the ones i've met-those that know i bring "dessert" )

Sitting in the ORD AC, after my redeye from SEA feeling alot better after a nice shower. Got to my AS flight OAK-SEA with plenty of time to spare thanks to the Magic carpet! Want to thank everyone again for a great evening even though dinner had to be rather short and at a different venue. Going to go find some breakfast before my BOS flight, "travel-lag" is starting to hit again!

A bientot!
Dale.

It most certainly did! Over a foot of the fresh new stuff welcomed me home yesterday. The snowbanks are so high in my neighborhood that you can barely see the houses as you drive down the streets.

Dale. (Wishing he could move to a warmer climate!)
