I may be around; touch base as it gets closer. Also, do you have transportation or doing the shuttle thing? My car's been going in/out of shop, so even if I am around might not have wheels but if you get over to MB, could meet up w/ you if I am in town. Cheers.

Might rent a car but either way (shuttle or car) we can certainly make it over to MB if you're around.

I still don't know what is going on yet for sure. There will probably be a Laker game one of those days so....
If we do have it in MB or HB someone can probably pick you up

I'm actually flying into into LAX 6/5 around 10:30, then driving down to a dinner meeting at the Hyatt Huntingon Beach-- so if anyone wants to meet up in MB (and can give me directions), I'll try to make it

Was downtown MB today & noticed sign - AVP Tournament (Professional Volleyball) is happening 6/4-6/6 at the MB Pier. If you haven't been before it's fun.
Having said that, wouldn't pick it as a place for a get-together, especially since no booze on the beach
Post next week & let's try to sort out if it's drinks/dinner on the 4th or lunch on the 5th. Cheers.

Sorry everyone, it was a busy weekend!
How about meeting up in Manhattan Beach either Friday evening around 6:30-7:00PM or Sat. around noon? As for a venue may I leave that to the locals as I don't know the area?
Thanks!
Dale.

I can do either Fri or Sat. Just let me know.
Couple of things (not in any order):
* noticed mauld's arriving on sat am, & s/he said s/he could swing by on way to huntington, so maybe that might be better so s/he can join in.
* if the beach is like this past weekend (especially w/ the AVP this upcoming weekend), parking will be a zoo. there is valet parking (although it can get pricey), and in addition to the big parking structure behind the main section of mb blvd in dwntwn mb, there is now a new underground parking structure at the corner of valley & mb (entrance from valley headed south). parking structures require quarters, dimes & nickels.
* for those interested, they can walk down to the pier after lunch & catch a bit of the volleyball tournament.
Having said all that, both Fri eve & Sat lunch work for me. I'll just check the thread.
Possible places to meet: Shark's Cove, Hennessy's, The Kettle, Shellfish Tavern, Beaches (downstairs).

Since it looks like the best time and day for everyone let's choose Sat. at noon.
SkiAdcock , would you mind picking the place? Any of the one's you mentioned sound good to me. Thank you for helping with this!
