More from Kurosawa Onsen post-do

Some FTers were stranded at this station on the way back to Kumamoto but enjoyed nice bowls of noodles in a small shop next to the station. Sadly the station was badly damaged in the Kumamoto Earthquake of April 2016 and is now closed. There is a plan to re-open this section of the Ōita to Kumamoto line in August 2020.

Hiking Nakasendō from Magome to Tsumago

This was obviously shot later in the year but may give you some idea of the trail.

Some of us were a little late because we could find the swans.

Oops! I should have said “we could not find the swans”.

nme7 posted the following direction to the dinner venue. Some of us had a longer walk than expected finding the restaurant.

I’ve found WhatsApp messages of some of the participants which went on forever. Finding the swans obviously wasn’t the answer!

Eventually everybody found the restaurant and it was well worth finding!
