I believe I lost my virginity here; but it has turned into a long-term romance:

Now that FlyerTalk has greater than 50,000 members, I thought it would be a good time to re-activate this thread for more FlyerTalk members to share and reminisce about their first milepost on FlyerTalk...
--------------------------
By the way, due to the transition of FlyerTalk from the old Ultimate Bulletin Board (UBB) software to the current vBulletin bulletin board software, a link found in a milepost time-stamped before April 1, 2004 will be broken, including the one by me in the first milepost in this thread.
For those of you who posted links in this thread before April 1, 2004, please fix them.
Thank you in advance.

Well, since you've decided to restart this, I might as well weigh in. It will also get the thread bumped back up a bit, I suppose.
You may find my first post in this thread (Page 2, Post Nr. 20):

It's amazing how quickly one can go from Post 1 to Post 759, and how much fun one can have on the way. FT was a great find! ^

My first post. Brings back memories
Hey, Im not totally sure, but normally, you can always change your seats by phoning KLM directly unless you are on a VERY restricted seat / flight / class. However, if you check in early enough there is ALWAYS the option to change your seats, but you just have to get there on time to make sure the seats you want are left
Hope this helps

...well, here is mine!
Without looking it up, I remember two things about it:
1) I was also pretty shy and was looking for a thread where I could actually 'contribute' something (as I had been blown over by how much I learned in the couple of months of lurking & registering without posting...
)
2) I didn't get any "welcome to FT" replies (which actually made me feel as though I just snuck in under the radar
)
After looking it up, I noted something else about it: I made my first post on my birthday two years ago!!! Now I have an easy time reference for remembering it in the future. ^

This intrigued me to do a search ... I used to go by ch_usa until I got an e-mail from former KLM Flying Dutchman which let me start a new handle.
On January 27th, 2002 I joined the FT community by posting some news about Swissair's Travelclub Status becoming more restricted, with the Gold level being introduced (back in the Qualiflyer days when "Travelclub" was the status ...).

I stumbled about this thread and did a search and found my first post. I made it on Oct 17, 2002 lurking for over a year in the CX forum as I had in this time plans for a trip to Asia and also some Novotel Stays.
I am not sure about the exact date, when a friend mentioned this forum to me. The only thing I know, I would have chosen another handle if I had known I would post more often at this board.

Here's how to find your own first post:
(1) Use the advance search feature: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/search.php
(2) Type in your "User Name" under "User Name:"
(3) Under "Find Posts from", select "A Year Ago" and "Older"
(4) "Sort Results by" "in Ascending Order"
If the search feature works, your first post should be the first one brought up.
