I might wander by... I'd put it at 80% assuming my realtor doesn't call.

Tonight was an interesting night - for those of you who were planning on showing up a little late (if any of you were) sorry we missed you. Due to some renovations, there was a power shutdown that had to happen at the the restaurant we had planned to go to. The manager offered to buy us drinks a round of drinks at the bar, but we politely declined and made our way to the Orlean's House which was thezipper's first time there. I'm not sure if he was impressed or a little freaked out

If you've never been there, it's a place that serves the most prime rib in the US & I think it's a historical landmark. It's reminds you of the 50's or even earlier - a weird medival/New Orleans setting (complete with knight suits & a steamboat shaped gigantic salad bar).

For next month, we're thinking about going back to the Key Bridge Marriott where the view overlooks the DC/G'town skyline or the Hotel Washington, where we held the October happy hour. Personally, I'm up for either, but my preference leans towards the Key Bridge Marriott (2 blocks from Metro, great view, free parking) over the Hotel Washington (the parking gets me - I don't have time to drive home from work & then hop on the metro - I think it was 17 bucks to park last time as there is never any street parking for a truck!). But I'm game for whichever is decided, although I'd really like to give the Marriott another go (they also have really good appetizer bread!).

Techgirl posted that May 13 works for her, so it looks like that's the date that'll be set. I'll update the first page.

Cool

Well, if Jen is coming then you better believe Matt will be there. Wait. No, wait. Yes. That is true.

Also, I am planning on coming to the May 13th Happy Hour.

I'd be up for the Hotel Washington's Roof Top Terrace. It's a GREAT view of DC, the Mall, AC flying into DCA, and even the White House. See ya

Smile See you in May!

I should be able to make it on May 13. It will be nice to see you all again. Hopefully by THEN it will finally be warm, for Pete's sake! (for those of you NOT in the DC area, in mid-April it's STILL cold! And rainy!).

I'm fine with either location (Rosslyn/WH)... I work by McPherson Square so of course the Hotel Washington would be *perfect* for me but I'll show up wherever you all are!

I vote for the Hotel Washington.

bhatnsx -- I parked on the street within a couple of blocks but just couldn't quite recall where I parked afterwards. Do you remember that Patty?

Oh, Alysia, I sure do! But hey, I've been working downtown (on and off) for almost 10 years) and I can still get lost! Nice to "see" you.... I figured you'd be here eventually! We need to catch up on some of our other projects, my friend. I'll email you this afternoon.

I'll try to find street parking. It's just that I drive a full-size V8 4-door pick-up truck, so finding street parking in that part of DC is always tough!

I'll update the first page.

Arrow Hotel Washington? Parking?

If the gang is getting together at the Hotel Washington and parking is an issue, remember that the Old Ebbitt Grill one block up has valet parking from 6 pm on. Toss your car there, go in and have a drink and then walk down to the WashHotel. No worries!

Question May 13 at Hotel Washington, right?

Well, the month of May is filling up fast for me with lots of fun stuff, so to make sure I definitely go to this, let me recap: the next DC doo is on Thursday, May 13, at the Hotel Washington by the White House, right?

I'm looking forward to it!
