There's a free Doubletree shuttle that will pick up hotel guests at the metro at 7 after the hours & 37 after the hour - otherwise it's about a 4 block walk.

Well hey!
I've been out of circulation for a couple months, return to FT and find that the next DC do coincides with yet another trip of mine - excellent!
I'll see you guys there.

Good to see some new faces this month & good to see that we still have some international influence - Charteuse was in town for his second one of these from the UK.
Currently we're looking at Thursday, April 8, at the Key Bridge Marriott in JW's Steakhouse - it's a 14th floor restaurant overlooking the Potomac & the Kennedy Center and the Monuments - a great view with a great restaurant. I think that this one will be a great experience. I've been to the restuarant at the Key Bridge many times and it's got some of the best steaks in Arlington. Sometimes they are closed for special events, so I'll try to get in touch with them next week and make reservations. If you plan on attending, please post here so that I can give them an idea of how many people to expect & see if we can't get a nice corner table overlooking Georgetown & the Potomac.
Details, as usual, will be posted on the first page.

I realized today that I spent the entire evening thinking that Chartreuse's FT hat was "Chartre." Blame the lound 80's music, the martinis and the distracting disco ball for my confusion. Chartreuse, if you are reading - that is why I asked if you lived in Chartre and why I was talking about it.
Good to meet some new faces and see some old ones. Bhatnasx was a good host and shared cigarettes, as did Chartre. ejs99 pointed out that I am closer in age to his parents than I am to him. From now on, he has to address me as "ma'am." Silver Springer, MrAOK, HeadintheClouds, Going Away, the Zipper, DHacker, Alysia and Nor4 were all in attendance. I apologize to those whose names I missed. It was loud in there and I didn't catch everyone's FT handle. Also, the revolving floor and the two martinis made me forgetful.
BTW, how do you bold FTer's names?

Or to put it simply:
[b ] followed by the name, then [/b ]
Don't leave a space between the "b" and the "]".
I did that so the instructions wouldn't simply bold the phrase "followed by the name, then" and disappear from the screen.

Thanks to all the DC folks for their hospitality, and the bhatnasx for his logistics. For the record, it was G2 who brought up her age, noting Samir's relative youth (for those who haven't met her, G2 could pass in age for my sister[/b]. While I won't be around for the April get-together, I should be back in May or June.
