no - they were nearby but didn't affect me - if I'd been in my old house, i'd have been not flooded, but cut off from getting to work As it was the storm that caused them knocked out my tv transmitter, so no signal for about 12 hours, and the first I knew of the flood were various friends and family phoning me to check I was ok
