These are just abbreviations for the different programs and years the respective program has been running...EXP = European campus, AXP = Asian campus.

Hey, you already know ALL the airline codes, airport codes, GLON, SPG50, SWU, MP, VIPOW, etc....thought Flyertalkers were good with abbreviations .

Although I am not a member of the 1000 post club (yet), I figured I would create a bio.

Basically, my user name on FT ( and a few other forums I am registered at) is a variant of my actual name. One of my most "endearing" qualities is that I have a healthy sense of humor and the jokes on the name don't faze me.

As far as traveling is concerned, I have been to a wide variety of places ranging from Rockville, IN (Covered Bridge Festival) to Frankfurt, Paris, Lucerne, Brussels, Bern, The Caribbean, and Hawaii.

Besides travel, my interests include cars, bowling, fishing, softball, golf (I suck at it), Auto Racing (especially drag), movies, driving, fine dining, computers, billiards... to name a few.

I am single but working on getting engaged to a very special woman. I have no children (yet).

As for career, I am a Help Desk Analyst who is working on attaining his certifications so I can afford to take more trips. Right now, I am trying to find a new job since my company downsized me back in October.

I haven't met any FTers yet but I hope to do so in the future.

Thanks Mike! Great to see more people from the GSB. I only knew of one, but I forgot his user name - I think he was in AXP-4. I am in EXP-9 (you could probably find me from the facebook). Makes sense to have people especially from the exec. programs here, as much as they make us fly around . Do you happen to know the user names of the others? Hope we get to meet!

Daniel,

Did check the facebook and found your page. I was AXP-1 myself. The other GSB people I know of raise their hands for roll call on the second page of this thread.

Have a peek there and I too shall look forward to sharing a glass or two of wine with you sometime. Good luck.

Mike

Mike,
Just checked out your Starbucks City Mug Collestion. I'm jealous, we started doing this earlier this year and it has been a real kick. Everytime we have a cup of coffee in that mug we are reminded of our trip. Looks like we have many years of collecting ahead. Thanks for sharing.

I am Charles M. Kunz, an 18 year old devout map junkie and American Airlines flyer from Suburban Rye, New York. I now reside both there with my family of seven other Kunz's and in Tempe, Arizona where I attend Arizona State University as a History Major.

I got into Frequent Flyer Miles Post-9/11 which provoked me to start finding out what those plastic cards in my wallet were. I began to communicate with people in close contact in the airline world who really gave me a push in what I feel was the right direction. An internship in the Environment Office at Westchester County Airport in the Summer of 2002 showed me what it is like to work in the Aviation World, even if it was only stuffing envelopes and keeping the noise abatement violation database up to speed.

2003 marked the first year I really became interested in flying for the sake of flying. Thanks to imput from people in the know, I took two mileage runs and two day trips plus I expanded most of the trips I had to take to include extra segments. As an 18 year old, I realize that this may be the only time in my life where I can enjoy flying a red-eye 757 in coach so I plan to do as much now as I still can.

..and next, we have 777Brit!

So, where do I begin? Well, a long time ago, in a dark, damp hole, there lived a future FT'er.....

Seriously folks, I'm David, 30 yrs old, born and raised in London, England. I have my wife (Mrs.777Brit), an older brother (34) and my Mum, and that's my close family. My Dad passed away in January 2001 during emergency surgery. I miss him, but I know he's always with me.

My interest in travel started when I was about 8 years old. I took my first ever plane ride (I was a late starter) on a BA 747 in Club to Sri Lanka, on the BA033, routing LHR-BAH-CMB. I was (motion) sick as a dog for the whole flight, a problem that was to blight my early travels, up to the age of 18! My grandfather was the co-founder of Air Lanka, back in 1979, and was my inspiration to work in travel.

I joined American Airlines as a reservations agent back in 1991, then moved up to Stansted the following year, where I worked as a Passenger Service Agent. My career with AA continued until 1997, when I left to work for a corporate travel agency as their IT Manager! After two and a half years, I went back to Sabre Inc. as a programmer, and then became EMEA Senior Business Analyst in September 2001. That's when the FT bug bit me. Hard. At the time of the WTC attacks, I was planning my first mileage run (via JFK, coincidentally) to achieve AAdvantage Gold. After watching the drama unfold on cnn.com, I left the office and went home feeling very sad indeed. The next day, my mission was clear. I couldn't let the terrorists win, so I decided to do the previously unimaginable (to my mind!). I would go from nothing to Platinum on AA, in the space of 6 weeks. I started flying on November 15th and qualified on December 31st.

My constant mileage runs usually took me to somewhere on the West Coast and on one such run in August 2002, I met my wife in a little Thai restaurant in El Segundo, CA. Of course, she was someone else's date at the time, but that didn't stop me! We celebrated our first wedding anniversary on 9/11/03. (9th November).

I was laid-off from Sabre on December 5th this year, and was hired this morning by a corporate travel agency in London, as their Technology Manager, commencing December 29th.

When I'm not travelling, I moderate the AA forum on FT, love driving, working on my 'project' car, which is a 1984 Volvo 240GL Estate (wagon), photography (just got a new Sony DSC-P12), Formula 1 and Arsenal FC.

I arrange FT dinners when I'm in LA and will happily meet FT'ers in London too, if I'm in town.

So, ladies and gentlemen, that's my little story. Who's up next?

Wow, that's pretty impressive!

You met her when she was on a date with someone else and got married three months later!

You must have pretty good persuasion skills .

My post was featured in TalkMail . Reason enough for me to shamelessly bump this thread up over the Who We All Are 9 that has been revived in the meantime.

Ive posted in one of these threads before, but since that was when I was still embarked in my past life, I think its time for a new introduction.

I am Gaucho... the eternal FT troublemaker. Im not really part of the 'old boys clique' but Ive been around long enough to know the right people around here, so, dont mess with me or else...

Im 35 years old, single (but not available), and very shy and reserved. I dont do anything unless my mommy gives me written clearance. Im currently based out of EZE, and have a second base camp in CGK.

By training I am an Economist with special focus on finance. My old trade use to be that of a B(W)anker, but after 10 years with the world of finance I decided it was time to move into the world of the 'real' economy. Today, Im messing around in the world of entrepeneurship, with focus on projects related to foodstuffs. One business is related to import/export of foodstuffs, the other is in the field of intensive agriculture (for now we are into land snails, with a vegetable project coming on line soon), and the third is a wine accessories/gadgets project that just went live.

I enjoy collecting wines and buddah heads, mechanical timepieces from Switzerland, modern paintings from Asian artists, smoking cigars, and eating good food from just about everywhere. I also enjoy cooking for friends, and love to entertain at my home. Italian Operas, German & Austrian classic composers, House, Acid Jazz and Progressive Trance are my cups of tea (chinese tea, thank you) in terms of music. I hate to fly in Economy class and drive american made cars (US SUVs are great, though).

I dont post much on FT anymore, but can still be found (ocasionally) on the SQ and LH boards... (two of very few remaining decent airlines).

Seasons Greetings!!
