Hmmm...didn't know this was here...here goes...
I was born in Santa Cruz California, live there now. I went to Sonoma State University for my undergraduate degree in Psychology, then to McGeorge School of Law (part of UOP) in Sacramento for my law degree. Been practicing in a traveling job but it got to be too much for me so now I'm practicing on my own and working at a church. I'm still adicted to the miles, though. (was before the job, too.) In my year and a half on the traveling job I made diamond in both hilton and hyatt, gold in sheraton. Premier Exec on United, Platinum on American, MVP on Alaskan, and was for one year Silver Medalion on Delta. I am now limited somewhat in my mileage earning, but still have enough VDB vouchers to take AAdvatage (pardon that.) of some promotions for the next year (such as the 100K Oneworld promo that I just tonight bought tickets for.
I'm 27, male, married, and my pantry is FULL (literally) of Diet Coke.

Well, here goes my entry...
My name is Evan Fleisher. I live in Dubuque, Iowa with my wife Jill and our one year old daugther Kathryn. We just moved here from Chicago as my wife is a college professor and teaches here locally at Loras College. I work for Sears at the corporate HQ in Chicago, and telecommute for oart of the week. Come January 1st, I'm leaving Sears to venture out on my own as an independent consultant/contractor in the field of logistics, transportation, engineering support, you-name-it!
Have not flown and/or traveled much for business in the last three years, but was a logistics consultant for two years before that and basically lived on the road, so I am a well seasoned traveller. I got the "mileage bug" during those consulting days, and have been crazy ever since then (although my wife will tell you my lunacy began long before that!). This board has been a great place to learn, share, and investigate all of the various "deals" out there, and I'm glad I found you all.
My main hobbies/interests outside of what I've already shared are...golf, golf, family, camping, golf, golf, cigars, snowboarding, golf, collecting FF miles, golf. BUT...not necessarily in that order!!!

I've enjoyed reading everyone else's info, now I guess it's time to share. I'm Doris, live just outside Austin, TX ("Live Music Capital of the World", the CVB claims). I'm executive director of a statewide nonprofit association, so travel the highways and flyways of Texas regularly. I have two kids (Allison, almost 20 and a student at our state's finest public university, just down the road in College Station, and Matt, turning 13 this month, so save me from the horrors of puberty!!) No pets currently -- still recovering from the trauma of the 12 year old dog and 18 year old cat dying in '98. I miss complaining about having to vacuum dog and cat hair, so we'll be adding family members soon.
Since my ancestors left Germany and France in the early 1800's, just about no one in my family has travelled anywhere, so I guess I must be a throwback to earlier generations. I've travelled, on my own and with the kids, to about 40 of the states, parts of Canada and just a few European countries.
I have enjoyed reading everyone's posts. I usually learn something, and sometimes I just get a chuckle. All in all, y'all are a fascinating group that never ceases to amaze!

Hey, bluebonnet! Nice to see other non-profiteers on board!
Do you mind sharing what industry you represent? Is it related to construction??? (I work for the American Subcontractors Association).

Well, here I am. Started posting (and reading!) just yesterday and I'm fascinated with all your tips.
I'm 47 yrs and live for the most of my life in Duesseldorf, Germany, which is - by the way - a lovely place to live. Not too big a city. but (pop. 500.000) big enough for all the amenities of life. DUS is one of three german aiports for UA, which makes travelling to the US quite easy for me.
I'm a self employed business consultant. Specialty is training and coaching of small sales organisations. My goal is not to have just some meetings, but accompanieng those sales people for a longer period nof time, 'cause I think, this is the only way to change behavior and old habits. Most important is running a "motivation programm". I'm actually (for more than three yrs) consulting a munic company and launched their printed city maps onto the net. This could be interesting for all of you travelling to Germany. Their excellent maps are on http;//www.stadtplan.net . They are in German but easy to navigate, if you know that "Strassensuche" means "street list".
Training and coaching of sales organisations includes incentives and incentive travel. I've just finished an incentive with some 40 sales people of that munich based company to Vegas and the Southwest (12 days). it was seventh time I've done incentives to the US. Carrier in most cases: UA. Other incentive trips are going to the mediterrean. Those incentives are the stuff, which gives the very nost fun to my job - because I looove travelling myself and it is great for me to show to others what I like most: Well known places but "off the beaten path".
As for FT I'm MP PremEx (will fall some 15.000 miles short of 1K this year). I'm silver on CO and AA. Enrolled on Amex MR (with some 75.000 points not knowing how to use best)
Well, I think this was it for the monent. Glad I got to this forum

I guess I would still qualify as a LURKER....I havn't done much posting since I still suffer from an identity crisis. Somehow by pure accident I acquired the handle of GETONBOARD, which to some extent is not a bad name, unfortunately, I had already met some FT's and introduced myself as DTTB......to clear the air, I am I, and I am going to the PIP confirmed as DTTB..so you all figure it out! (and if anyone has any input on how I can regain my identity, PLEASE SHARE!)

Thanks a flyer
