Apparently, the travel-related companies are attaching more and more importance to the Freddies.

In the past, I have received e-mails from various companies asking me to vote for them on the Freddies. Additionally, some companies provide links from their websites to vote. Today, I picked up snail mail after being away for about 2 weeks. In my mail was a postcard from Diners Club whose sole purpose to ask me to vote for them in the Freddies.

Shall we start taking bets on where the ceremony will be held?

It's going to be on the East Coast of the US, but NOT in New York City, if I understand correctly.

So....Washington, D.C., perhaps? Boston? Miami?

Or how about Charleston, S.C. or Savannah?

New York, New York! It's a hell-of-a-town.
The Bronx is up and the Battery's down.

Sing along.

Randy,

Here's my reasons:

Real people
Real neighborhoods
Real food
Real pizza
Delicious bakeries
Tradition
Brooklyn Tour.

We can use the gig to help the economy.

I'll vote with Dan. New York City.

The Freddie ceromony should be permanently based in Manhattan.

Maybe, just maybe?

Randy has Very clearly said it will NOT be held in in NYC this year:

http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/Forum97/HTML/000685.html

So, the guessing game continues afresh .......

It is so warm and temperate here in SYDNEY. And a $US goes so farrrrrrrrr.

We've chosen a venue and are just waiting for some ink to dry (actually to get wet first) before an official announcement.

Only one clue: it will not be held in NYC this year.

Humm...

East Coast but not NYC.

Well, there's always the non-borough of New York. It has a big relative new Hyatt and is on the waterfront near nice restaurants.

It's near a gaggle of FLyertalkers.

And my two "children."

Now the Freddies in Jersey CIty will be the show to end all shows.

And I can play the role of dhammer and do a "Catman's Magical Mystery" tour (but I need someone to drive the van because, confession, I can't drive.

BFL? How 'bout FAT? They have a brand-spankin' new terminal, only the glass windows don't fit the facility. And new parking lots that are too close to the terminal so they can't use 'em. And they've just moved the rental cars farther away. What more could you ask for?

Oh, VIS or MOD.
