Tuesday night, 21 Oct, in BNE sounds excellent; I'll let you choose a venue. Will drop you a line when I'm there.
Still trying to get tickets for Scotland v Fiji in Sydney on 1 Nov. Some went on sale at 9 am AEST yesterday but the ticket firm's website was showing 'sold out' by 9.01 am http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/frown.gif |

Whats up with the Ozzie press...??? Its been published here in EZE that the Australian press is hitting the Wallabies for their latest performance. Is this just a press move to reduce the pressure on the home team or have they really been playing badly?
|
Australia have not been playing well although there performance did pick up slightly in the final stages of the Tri-Nations. They are in the hardest group with the Pumas and Ireland and there is a slight although not very likely possibility that they might lose both these games and not qualify for the next round. IMHO that won't happen.
As I am an English man who most of the time lives in MEL I have only one thing to say about Friday's game. GO PUMAS http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif On a sadder note I couldn't make the RWC from London and had to sell all my tickets last week. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/frown.gif |
Well... the way I see it, I dont think that the Pumas have a large chance at winning against the home team.... having the crowd in your favour is a HUGE thing in Rugby. In any event, I think the objective for the Pumas is to stay injury free during the first game (I think its going to be very physical), and try to keep it close until the second half. If things go our way, maybe we can steal away a surprise victory. In any event, the match that will determine the fate of the Pumas will probably be the Ireland game... if we can beat them (and there I do see a big chance) we should make it to the second round. Needless to say, it will be important for Argentina to obtain the bonus points in its other two matches to secure its position in the group of death.
Sadly, I will probably miss out on the first game, as I will be in transit at MIA and I doubt any of the Admirals Clubs will have the rugby on... http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/frown.gif |

Well, after a fairly mediocre performance this morning things can only get better. Let's hope Gaucho's Pumas can get a bit of practice in against Namibia tomorrow http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif
