Although I will probably have to work and am therefore a "maybe" -- I am sending a couple of representatives --

Mr. DK_1KGal and sister of DK_1KGal have their hotel reservations at Sol Melia and I'm working on their flights. They will arrive a bit early (Thursday) and then spend another 10 days in Spain. I may be able to get away and join for the weekend.

I had the good fortune to have dinner with Alan this past weekend in Sitges, and spent 3 nights at the Melia Hotel. I took over 750 photos on this trip (attending swimming's World Championships in Barcelona), but have only uploaded the Sitges photos so far (about 40 or so, many of the hotel), knowing people here on FT would have a specific interest in them. I'll get the BCN photos up in the next day or two.

Click on 2003 Barcelona, then the Sitges album. As we were commuting back and forth to Barcelona for swimming, didn't have a lot of time to explore, but these photos should give you an idea what you're missing.

It's about a 45 minute train ride and costs 2.20 euros (about $US2.50). You will likely need to transfer trains either at Barcelona Sants station, or at El Prat de Llobregat station (which I used), depending how you elect to get there.

I cannot make any promises about award tickets because I just cashed in everything I have for an MH F award to SYD for my birthday in Feb.
