For those looking for more affordable accomodation (i.e. on a budget like me), alan recommended the hotel liberty

www.hotel-liberty-sitges.com Quite affordable. I am already booked for the Friday and Saturday night.

alanw,

Am disappointed, wanted to check out your swinging, bachelor pad and couldn't see any pictures.

The party weekend sounds like fun. Enjoy.

Well, it appears that my old ISP finally got around to shutting down my old site. Unfortunately the photos (and everything else) are lost because I can't find my backup. Not to worry they were grainy and low-quality anyway since they were taken by my mobile phone. We're in the middle of reformations now and once it's complete I will post new, better photos of the place.

In the meantime: From your post, Dani, it appears that you haven't yet committed to attending Si-Do. Please explain.

Although the Si-Do sounds too good to pass up and am sure you will all have a wonderful time, it wouldn't be much fun for a 2 year old.

By the way, how's your Catalan going?

I forgot to mention Missydarlin emailed me (with her wonderful scones recipe) and in that email she mentioned she is not bringing her pearls to the do. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/frown.gif Having her barbequing for all of us in her heels, sans pearls, just isn't quite right. Anyone have a nice string of pearls they can loan her for the cookout? I would be much obliged.

Put me down as tentative. Should know the month before, in the consulting world you can never plan more than 4 weeks ahead! Besides, I come and go to Spain about 8 times a year. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif

LX, LH, AF still want over CHF400 for a flight to Barcelona that weekend. But Iberia had a wonderful CHF129 promotion, so I am now

confirmed

for this, arriving Friday afternoon and leaving Sunday afternoon. I will stay at the Sol Melia Sitges, where they have rooms available for €70 per night (without breakfast though).

Also, it is highly likely that LHR/MEL/Europe/FF will join in too...

Wow. They told me they were full that weekend. If you can get that rate, jump on it. It is a fabulous hotel about a 2 minute walk from my flat and our cafe/center of operations.

Hmmm, this event is looking really tempting. Now that I know the host, I am certain of just what a great time it will be. Now to check out fares & flights...

Alan, I really enjoyed drinks & tapas with you and Latitudes last night in Sitges. Thanks for introducing us around to your friends and for a great evening!

Now look, you made me blush! It was great meeting you guys too. So far I'm batting 1000 meeting other nice FT'ers. I do hope you made it back to BCN before dawn...sorry about the, um, misunderstanding with the trains!

I will add you and Latitudes to the "probably" list and we'll get ready for a grand old time in October.
