July 24 in the DC area sounds like fun. We'll certainly fly in for that one.

Well, I suppose unless people post to the contrary within the next day, we can make July 24 official.

Wow, if only I could confirm travel plans this far in advance, too!!

Hah!

I should have said "7/24 is clear on my calendar now and I'll show up as long as I don't have to be out of town that day!"

Of course, I have a few 'potential' trips between now and then which haven't yet materialized. So it's possible I could be called away.

But I don't know of anything at the moment... and provided I'm here in town, I'll definitely turn up since (a) we have a visitor from a far away land and (b) it's not being held in Maryland!

gleff, I'm in a similar boat:
-- a buddy arriving from Italy Tues., leaving for Mexico Wed. on the new CO service to Morelia!!!
-- non-refundable ticket for myself on Friday

So, it doesn't look like I'd squeeze another trip between Wed. PM and Friday. That's why I know I can commit.

Sorry folks, but I've had to reschedule a personal appt. to Thursday night. Put me down for Potomack Landing on July 24, though...

TribeFlyer, sorry we won't see you.

But, if TribeFlyer, gleff and ozstamps have all said July 24, then I guess July 24 it is.

Have we decided on the location???

Have we reached the limit of 12 for dinner at rock bottom yet? would like to attend mainly for FF stuff first, then beer in the bar afterwards.

headaintheclouds, you're more than welcome. I just said 12 because they may want to throw a smaller group into the mix to wait for tables.

Look forward to seeing you there!!

VJ- I missed the earlier threads in this but if I read correctly, there's a FT happy hour tomorrow night (Thur, 6/12) in Bethesda?

If yes, count me in.

Yup, tomorrow it is. See you there!

(Remember I still owe you a mileage run.)

Anybody DC folks have UA or similar Free Ticket voucher to trade for a US one???

http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/Forum...ML/011254.html

Trying to fly mom from MSP to SFO, but US doesn't allow connections via PIT/PHL/CLT-- but the voucher requires US metal, not UA codeshares.

I'd prefer to trade in person today or tomorrow. Thanks!! See you tonight.

The DC crew again enjoyed a fine evening of conversation and mileage tips---- unbeknownst to us, the CO/DL/NW partnership news hit the presses as we were meeting, so we discussed pros and cons of each-- not knowing that we would become bedfellows soooo soon!!!

The mass has spoken: the July event will be at Potowmac Landing. The first post will reflect this info. Potowmac Landing is not immediately on Metro, but within walking distance of DCA-- later we will post particulars on transportation.
