The 8th is the only option that works for me.... I take off the 9th PM.
I was in Union Station last night-- finally checked out the America restaurant. For a very comparable timeframe as the one we're considering (i.e. Thurs evening) they had loads of seating available inside, upstairs, and in the station atrium area-- my suggestion because of the views. Prices were good, and so was the food. My biggest complaint about menu items from various places in the US:
The menu makers didn't quite realize that Tijuana is not in the US, as all of the other menu items were referenced.
So............ Thurs. evening May 8 in the atrium seating area of America in Union Station??? Time TBD based on the Golds' schedule. I'm hoping for 7ish myself.

If it's Thursday, May 8 I'll make it. And I'll bring Freddie, Jr unless dhammer53 kidnaps him.

I'll actually be going to Georgetown to meet my sister later that evening (May 8th).. if I am invited and someone can point me towards a reasonable place to park, I'd like to meet the DC crew (since I end up here it seems all the time!)

Alysia, glad to hear an update on the Golds' plans.
So, how about 7:00pm at America in Union Station? Let's plan to sit in the outside atrium area.
I'll try to wear by red Roots Canada cap so people can ID the group.
See you there!!

I'm relatively new to FT, but I'm going to try to make it for a few minutes, just to say hi if possible. I've got a dinner date with a friend already planned, but I'm going to try to join you all maybe for a drink or something.
