After my usual horrific Nov/Dec work stretch, I'm back in town for three whole weeks. Currently free the 16th-17th, 20th-23rd, 26th-30th, and 3rd-4th.

The 20th would work well. Any thoughts on dinner, or is this intended to be a liquid dinner only? I do have a 12:40am pumpkin-time, as that's the last Metra train to my part of suburbia - otherwise, I get to sleep on the floor in my office until 7am.

I've got my insane office Christmas party on the 20th. If I can't duck out of that early, I'll catch up with you at like 8ish.

The 20th won't work for me either. Getting into the city on Friday night from Elgin would take me 2+ hours. Plus I have to be up early on the 21st to take my sister to ORD. That is about as close as I get to flying these days.

Another day perhaps? Or, a suburban event too.

As this is a really tough time of the year to coordinate anything... I think we need TWO events!! Being purely selfish, I'd like both events to be before the 5th so that I can attend both!

How about:

1. Near North on the 20th, and
2. An O'Hare-area dinner (maybe something around Edison Park so that city folks can take the Blue Line back en masse) on the 3rd or 4th?

So much for the 20th, at least early - my goddaughter's parents are having a party at their business that afternoon, so the earliest I'd be free and in the city is about 8pm.

And your problem is??

As far as my plans work the 20th is still ok, and I'm still also ok for a second get together whenever others are available...

I'm on for the 20th too. Would Gamekeepers be ok for most people? 8-8:30?

Just returned from 6 weeks of constant travel, so this is my first time to really surf the whole site.

With the exception of a quick trip to the left coast on the 24th, and 25th (anyone on the SFO-ORD redeye Christmas night?) I am in town until the first of the year.

It seems as though the date is the 20th???? I'd love to go out for a few drinks. Do we have a definite plan?

Anyone? Anyone? Anyone?

Abe

Want to meet SweetWillie and me at ORD on the morning of the 24th?

Spiff,

Normally I would love to, but I am actually flying out late on the 23rd. Thanks for the offer though.

Anyone know the status if the get-together on the 20th?

Abe

I suspect it's on for the 20th, but somebody just has to give a starting point. I would, but I will be a late arrival.

I can do Gamekeepers on Friday around 8.30. I'm not an Alumni Club kind of guy. That's where cool people go, and I'm not good at being cool.
