I'll post a quote from another thread about getting FT'ers getting together in Chicago,

"I got to work early this morning and will endeavor to make it there on time. If not, I'll buy the first round of drinks at the next event.
Regards,
DG "

I believe there will be alcohol involved.

If anyone's up for drinking in Lincoln Park (most bars are, coincidentally, covered under iDine), we need to hit the Weiner Circle for late night food (>1am). I'll even start the planning for a bar crawl one night if people are interested on a weekend.

I'm personally excited, because I'm hoping that the crawl stays out past 3am. The late night hot dog stand is a hangover preventative (The Weiner Circle) is like Ed Debevic's, but for the drunken Jerry Springer crowd. It's free entertainment. Lots of swearing.

But most importantly, I want to lead such a bar crawl that it warrants a suspension from this board.

No can do the "late nite",,,,altho Wiener Circle probably has my name inscribed on a table somewhere from "oh so many years ago"!

OTOH: if the crew decides to make this a "post-work" party, or at least starts a post work party downtown/Lincoln Park/etc. I'd be in.....

Looking forward to that "first drink" there, Senor Goat!!!
Best wishes.

Then let me know a Friday you want to meet, and I'll meet people at 6pm at somewhere like Alumni Club on Lincoln or Gamekeepers on Armitage. Then just go from there.

Friday the 20th is a definite possibility....Kinda depends on the "status" of my Xmas shopping efforts!!!
Either the A/C or Gamekeepers would work fine.
Best wishes.

I'd be interested depending on the final date and time.

I'll leave dates up to you guys. I'm flexible and I live near the Hancock so I'm close to most of the fun drinking establishments. Since I'm here, I'll base it around everyone else.

I'll be in Chicago tomorrow night (Friday the 13th) with no plans at all as yet. If anyone has any suggestions, feel free to make them.

What part of the city are you staying? Are you a drinker?

I'm staying at the ORD Westin, and yes, I'm a drinker. I'll probably have an early-evening swim, but I'll have time to go downtown after that.

Oh, well, so much for that idea. Ended up having my flight into ORD cancelled, catching the next plane and then watching the hotel shuttle leave 2 mins early and having to wait for the next one. Blah! Needing some food by then, I wouldn't have had much time anyhow after all.
