I think we ( under one hundred club members) should have a monthly HIto say we are still here. This should not be recorded and only voluntary. You can say Hi from xxx xxx your home town or not. It should start on the first of each month. If you get to triple digits you may give this acknowledgement and off to the next hurdle.
So don't forget to subscribe to this thread.
I will start. Hi from Narellan

hmmmm i'm at 2

Anyone in LAS willing to teach me this?

chefcaw Apr 10, 2007 1:09 pm

I am still trying to reach double figures. Someone asked the questions about number of posts to access Coupon Connection and OMNI. For CC you need 90 days and 90 posts for OMNI, you need 180 days and 180 posts.\

Maybe this thread should be the first step to the 180 post thread. Is there such a thread?

If I find the info, I will post it

Chris

Hey guys, welcome to the CommunityBuzz! forum, home to Dos, events, get togethers and birthdays - and post club threads. We're glad you found us, and hope you enjoy your time on FT, learn a lot and get into the FT Community like we did :)

chefcaw is correct - there are limits and restrictions about number of posts before you get access to a couple of forums on here. That does mean that post padding to try and gain access to those forums in here or any other forum is not allowed and you will find your posts deleted by the mods

In the meantime, hope you enjoy your flight with us today, feel free to select a Do from our diversified menu, sit back and relax, and if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact your local friendly forum moderators :)

Still in the double digits, although I've been moving much more quickly over the past week. My membership probably won't last much longer...

Here's a question that I'm sure I'll be ridiculed for, but what exactly is supposed to happen at 100 posts?

jfe Apr 13, 2007 9:31 pm

I might join this club soon :o

So, I guess someone reaches 19000 posts by posting messages like this.

Yet again proving that quantity does not equal quality.

As you noted above, post-padding is frowned upon.

Where I'm confused is what is considered post-padding? Is it chiming in on a thread saying "me too"? or is it more along the lines of posting 10 or 20 or more messages in a row (in a single thread) with little or no content? or is it both?

Would posts in this thread be considered post-padding?
Thanks for the help.

Finally, in an attempt to avoid post-padding...

I qualify for the club too. I'm hoping that I'll lose my membership sometime in the next year or so

the FlyerTalk guidelines only say:

so its up to the moderators to give a definition and set the limits. usually when a post adds nothing to the thread, then its post padding. a me too can give useful information for signing up a DO. a ^ can mean, I agree with that decision. so its really hard to tell whats post padding without a given context. valuable contribution is never post padding, these rules are different in any forum - depends how the forum is working

don't hesitate to contact the mods of the forum if you have a question - we're here to assist you

Under 100, checking in!

Greetings from Carrboro, NC. I have fewer 100 posts too, although that seems so wrong because I come here and read the Miles Forum frequently! This is my first venture into the Community zone, nice to find a little thread for us newbies.
