After mainly lurking, and occasionally posting in TS&S and Newsstand, I found the Community Buzz forum, and then this under-100 aimed at us relative newbies.

I'll post more...

Leaving the club!

Made it! (or is that appropriate for an under-100 posts club forum?) Seriously, now that I can't be accused of post-stuffing, I have to express a general thanks to FTers. These forums have been so helpful, and made my travel much more comfortable, or at least, more interesting! I've done 2 MRs, posted one alert to a nice promo, and live for the day that I understand ITA well enough to post my own "great airfare". (My husband thinks I'm crazy, except that he benefits too.)

See you around, most likely on UA...

Congradulations, now you are on the way;)

This is post #94. Keeping the post count ticking over, I'll get out of this da*ned club one day! :D

What a great way to move up in status.

I've finally made it . . . This is my 100th post after being an FTer for 94 days.
:-)

My under 100 buddies, I shall bid thee adieu.
But, keep on posting. You can do it. Let's aim for the 200 club.

Making slow progress, but still definitely in the club.

I'm finally in the 90's, so it won't be long until I can graduate.

Help with acronyms

Hi,

A newbie here who will shortly be starting a new job which will see a lot of commercial airline travel rather than the moderate amount of uncomfortable travel on ageing crates on the company's "internal" airline. (Airmiles - what airmiles!!!!)

Will be looking to understand which are the best Freq Flyer progammes to join for my situation (more posts to follow), but first wanted to ask:

Is there a thread/document somewhere which gives a guide to all the various acronyms everyone uses? Some are easy enough to get (Star alliance etc), but many are a mystery to me. Any help greatly appreciated!!!

Oh, and what is OMNI all about??

Help with acronyms

G-day arcticfox,
Welcome to flyertalk :p . If you go to the Home page and at the bottom there is a section called " more helpfull tips", there you will find a glossary and airport codes. There will still be acronyms that you will have to ask for though, sooner or later someone will ask.

Have fun, Ray
