I really like the idea of Sidecars on the train from SEA to PDX.
26 July:
LX34 Zurich(ZRH) Washington(IAD)
depart: 12:15 pm
arrive: 3:35 pm
UA917
Depart IAD: 5:10pm
Arrive SEA: 7:39pm
Methinks Rudi should use some miles and enjoy a weekend with the VSOI Crowd.

Seeing as how this is going to be my first FT event and I'm excited to meet you all in person, I'm thinking I'll do the arrive-into-SEA thing, too. If we're going to be in rental cars, we'll need multiple. The train sounds like the most fun. Count me in for one way (I'll fly home from PDX).

Matt,
Ok. I might be talked into SEA on Friday night but as I posted I am still waiting to see where I will be flying from before I get my tickets. But unless I lose all sanity, a trip to PDX on Sunday all hung over and still showing VSOI seems better than the trip back to SEA.

I like the rented Navigator part.... I volunteer to rent, those who ride with me can pitch in later. So, should I go ahead and rent or what...???
Saturday night I will book at the Westin in PDX, but where do I book myself for Friday night in SEA? Anybody doing a Starwood in SEA for Friday...??
Matt-- check your voicemail (mobile phone) Doode, I need to answer about Las Leas)...

Matt asked earlier, but I'll post here...
... my vote is for the train.
As this list grows, we are reaching the need for three vehicles otherwise. A big chunk of the reason to go to SEA is to be social, so why split ourselves up?

Gaucho...
I'm thinking about Starwood for SEA... with my mystery posting from this weekend's stay, I'm now just a hop-skip-jump away from Platinum.

Tech-Mamita-- let me know what you book in SEA so I can follow... as to splitting up, remember that Navigators are huge crates that carry a load of 7, so there should be plenty of opps. to socialize...

No need to rent unless you REALLY, REALLY want to.

I'll need to book by Friday if I do that... otherwise the W is looking to be the other logical (although not exactly cheap) option.
I just gave up my Portland Westin reservation, btw... since I was already holding one for the Embassy Suites anyhow.
