Wow, so many fun choices! What to do, what to do....

Having a little get-together sounds great - and yes, Punki, I'd love to have lunch with you around noon.

So, if I'm having lunch with Punki, then dinner with the gang, I guess I'll just do something solo in between. Someone can point me the right way and I should be fine.

Have we decided yet on anything definite for the evening?

Thanks so much for getting these plans together, everyone - you're great! And sorry it took me so long to write - today was quite hectic.

My PA, says I should be able to tourguide that afternoon if necessary.

Unless I'm mistaken...the gang is going to Greg's for lunch, right?

I know that feeling... It's times like this the land of clogs and tulips seems so boring...

The way I understand it is,

Hunki and I will pick BellissimAA up at the airport in my lavender van and take her to Greg's for lunch with all of us, Missy and Chex.

Chex will take BellissimAA for a tour after lunch? Or does BellissimAA want to hang around downtown alone and do Nordstrom type stuff?

We (whoever is interested) will meet at a determined spot for dinner, maybe someplace in close proximity to the airport.

BellissimAA will fly off into the night delighted at the wonderful, crazy people she has met in SEA and we will all be happy because we have made a new FlyerTalk firend.

The end. Which is also the beginning of the next segment.

Check one. Sounds good to me. Lavender van, huh? Sweet ride.

Honey, I can't afford Nordstrom type stuff on my budget. Now if I could find a sugar daddy...

A tour with Chex will be great. Glad to hear your schedule is free!

BellissimAA:

Let me add my welcome, in advance, to my new city! While I have not yet had the pleasure of meeting any of the Seattle-based FlyerTalkers (and I won't be available on June 20), I will tell you that I have the strong impression that this is one great group of folks you will be meeting!

What you are experiencing now (and what you no doubt will experience next week) reminds me of two occasions, when all I did was post my plans to visit a particular city and, within hours, my entire weekend (longer in one case) was planned for me. Such is the wonderful spirit of FlyerTalk!

I will always be grateful to kidpachinko (and "mrs kid") and mjm for their efforts to show me a great time on my whirlwind trip to Tokyo in December, 2000 (and thanks to AusTXHiker for allowing me to be part of his weekend with them). Then, last fall, I basked in the warm and gracious hospitality of Paul Palmer and his partner, Roy, who took excellent care of me in the Suffolk countryside.

Reading through this thread has reminded me of what I like best about FlyerTalk: the spirit of our members and their willingness to help each other. I know you will have a great time.

Best wishes,

Bill

OK, so the quick rundown for 6/20 is:

Hunki and Punki are picking me up at the airport. Punki, please send me your email address so we can talk flight specifics and all that fun stuff. Or you can email me.

We are then going to Greg's place for lunch. I'm looking forward to meeting Chex and Greg -- sorry you can't come, Missy; maybe I'll meet you on the next trip.

Chex is then giving me the grand tour, which should be fun. Chex, make sure you email me some things you might want to do -- I'd appreciate it.

Afterwards, dinner somewhere? Anyone figured out a plan yet?

My morning flight arrives at 11 am (God willing) and my evening one leaves at 10 pm (God willing), so let's make the most of the hours and get funky.

So all concerned, I hope to hear personally from you soon! I can't wait!

@@ I know pretty well Punky and Hunky, but who is Funky?

You are in good hands, BellissimAA, and sounds like you are going to have a fun day restless in Seattle!

(I am sooooo envious!)

edit because I misspelled Seattle!

OK, I was just informed by thumbgirl (co-star of All I Wanted was Real French Toast) that I had promised her to help in packing up her classroom and moving "stuff" to her new school. I don't know if I can do much now after lunchtime.
