Does this soap opera ever pause for a commercial break?

I appreciate and welcome assistance. What I don't appreciate is someone like your friend jan_az making a snarky remark like "come meet me sugar daddy please". That was inappropriate and uncalled for. Does that exclude the kind of class you expect on this board, ldsant?

I only attack if I feel I'm being attacked. I didn't appreciate that remark and I don't think anyone else would appreciate a remark like that. Would you, ldsant? No matter how egregious your atrocities (and I don't believe mine are that egregious), would you appreciate anyone insulting you like that?

And as far as being nitpicky, my user name is RIGHT THERE, spelled correctly. A little thoughtfulness to spell my name right would be appreciated. Again, look at it from my perspective. I'm just trying to explain my point of view and I'm being attacked and made to feel persona non grata for no real reason, other than I attacked Dan, who obviously needed to be attacked back for his also very unclassy comment.

Was that the kind of class you expect on this board, ldsant? Dan's and jan_az's comments toward me? If so, then I should fit in quite well.

As far as suggestions, if you or anyone else can word them in a nice manner without cheap potshots, I'd welcome them heartily. But for now, let's just drop this. I'm sick of it.

And just like a good soap opera, most of the plot development occurs during the commercial breaks...it seems http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

After much debate, I'm hoping this post on this thread will be the last.

As I've said before, the past is the past, the present is the present, and the future is unwritten. I have hope in the future and I hope we can mend our fences and just forget any disagreements we've encountered. We can't change the past, but the future is wide open. Let's all have hope in the future.

I'm looking forward to meeting everyone tomorrow, and given the fact that I am still up at this odd hour, I hope I don't fall asleep tomorrow! http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

If I nod off, just poke me in the back, someone....

To forgive, divine.

Boy, that was better reading than watching "Day's of our Lives" yesterday. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

BellissimAA,

I hope you go and have a wonderful time. While I have not met Punki yet (I hope to soon) she is really very nice and I am sure you will have a wonderful time.

geo1004 Jun 20, 2002 6:10 am

And a new day will dawn,
for those who stand long,
and the forrests with echo with laughter!

Does anybody remember laughter!!!! http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

Personally, I'm jealous of anyone who gets to hang with Punque and Chexphun all in the same day...

Predictable. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/rolleyes.gif

Hey... doesn't Shauna live in SEA too?

Darren Jun 20, 2002 7:52 am

Geo, I am offended. If you use the "L" word one more time, I am afraid I will have to report you to the thought police... http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif

Gaucho100K Jun 20, 2002 7:58 am

Wow http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/eek.gif..... this thread has certainly turned very interesting.

La ‘Piu Bella’ is obviously very outgoing, confident and assertive. She can certainly argue her case (she’s intelligent). She obviously doesn’t like to be pushed around (she has a strong temper). She is very attractive (I saw the picture).

Er.... Milady BellissimAA, you are “The American Dream http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/starsmilie.gif http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/starsmilie.gif http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/starsmilie.gif”. I would be honored to be your host in New York should your travel plans bring you here, and I would certainly love to visit Nashville sometime soon… http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/biggrin.gif

At this point I should probably tell you a little more about myself, but I would rather have a couple of my younger sisters on the boards (aka Punki, svpii, and KittyHawk) tell you all you need to know… http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif

Punki Jun 20, 2002 8:23 am

Ok, Gaucho, I'll spill the beans.

Watch out for that Latin Lover! He is way too cute and way too smooth and way too charming. A girl just can't keep her head around somebody like that. Stay away. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/biggrin.gif He can probably even dance a mean Salsa, or even worse, Tango. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/redface.gif

p.s. Gaucho you are personally invited to join us for lunch today and dinner this evening. Of course, both events will be properly chaperoned. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

For those who missed her photo it was still in my IE cache

I hope that despite todays incident you all have a good time, Barbara, I am sure you will be in good company with the SEA crowd http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/biggrin.gif

Glad to see that everything worked out.

kokonutz Jun 20, 2002 5:19 pm

Chex: nice hat..dork.

Mom: I am serious when I say, I WOULD have been there were it not for the pesky budget meeting I had this morning. The good news is that my $1.1 million budget increase was approved (with, significantly, an additional $30,000 for 'meetings and travel.')

Matt's higher-ups asked me to review his budget and I just wanted to call out the following sub-budget items, since this is, of course, a SEA thread:
$8,000 for DCA-ORD overflys/reroutes to/through SEA
$12,000 for 'Continual Important potential SEA Customer Schmoozing'
$6.00 for infamous Scooby-doo underwear most likely destroyed during last mini-SEA-do. ???how did you get that one through, Matt???

I hope that the good folks who went to dinner tonight were able to spend a little of this budget for you...

The car is pretty good looking, but needs a new fender (I got into a little fender bendy). And I'd say the usual stuff is in the "boot" nothing to write home about, but nothing to be afraid of.

ScottC Jun 21, 2002 6:51 am

OK, so wheres the rest of the report? How was dinner? Where are the other photos?

She was a no show for dinner (I know, because I was a show!). Dinner was fun with chex, Punki, and Hunki. Pyramid Apricot Ale is yummy! http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif Hunki said he's going to post a few pics in the near future.

Actually gregseattle and BellissimAA both stood us up. We think that they ran off together, never to be seen again, so we ended up sitting around gossiping about them. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif

NOT!

Actually Mrs. gregseattle
had to work late and Greg got to play father of the year to his two adorable little boys. BellissimAA (who was operating on almost NO sleep) rested longer than she had meant to and showed up at the Ale House about 6 minutes after we left. What a bummer.

In any event, we enjoyed a pleasant dinner with ldsant and Chex. I think Hunki will be osting a picture. He loves his new camera. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/biggrin.gif
