If you all are thinking of doing a lunch during restaurant week, maybe start a separate thread so people can see it and possibly make it.

It sounds like fun. Don't know my schedule then but if I can make it I will.

OMNI for Jen: I have two pictures of YAZ and EDDIE on this site... click on photos. they are on the first page.

YAZ (MaineCoon Stokolosa Blanchard) is a maine coon, will turn 11 in August.

(Sir Edwin) Eddie (Landseer Angora Blanchard) is six and like YAZ wonderful wonderful company.

Will be great to meet you sometime. Take care.

Sarah,

When do you get in? I happen to be flying out friday night the 26th. If you are in early, maybe we could organize a lunch?

That would be great. I haven't booked flights yet but there is every possibility I will be on AA115 which lands JFK at 09:20 so I'd be in Manhattan by lunch very easily.

I haven't booked my flight to SFO either, but will definitely be flying out around 5pm, so lunch is doable. How does 1-2pm time frame sound for lunch?

Cool. When your travel plans are finalized I'll start a new thread for July 26th lunch.

rubbernyc, you plan to head straight to the airport from lunch?

In the meantime, does anyone have a date/time suggestion for June? (my personal preference is weekdays, since my weekends are all fully booked)

If were talking about the week of June 24 - 28, I say how about Wed. I cant go Friday the 28th, since Ill be in DC for the WAS in JUN DC do.

If you look at the web page I posted above, it says restaurants with an * extend the 20.02 offer through Labor Day, so it doesnt even have to be that week.

thanks Catman! I have never looked at that site before, I love your cats. I would put pictures of mine there (Continental, Spirit and Northwest) but can't send mail by clicking on a link since *&( computer set up to use outlook in profile but don't have outlook, never fixed .... I had a maine coone who lived until 15, lost her last year. And ... is Eddie an angora? I also had an angora I absolutely adored, also lost him last year. See him here if you want (second pic) more cat photos at end of list, but none of the maine coone Truffle yet

Blake, my angora

PS rubbernyc, would love to have an explanation of your handle, nyc part of course I know but ...? must be a story there.

Weekdays also would work best for me. Lunch sounds fine... or a dinner as well. Please keep me posted.

FYI Rubber: because of your NYC area residency you are a member of the "ALLEY CATS" (name of NYC chapter of Flyertalk posters.)

OMNI for JEN: You are NOW at the TOP of the list of people I want to meet! Anyone who loves beautiful cats like you do sounds like a real intersting person. Hope you can make it to an "Alley Cats" meeting sometime.

ok... let me address all these issues here, it's amazing how many things happen while I was commuting home from the office.

SeeYa - I may head back to the office for a bit to make an appearance and head off to airport, not sure yet if I'll do a JFK-OAK or EWR-SFO.

CozumelJen - not much of a story, but an interesting fact....when we meet....?

Catman - tell me more about the ALLEYCATS....is there an initiation? hazing? drinking binges?

thanks catman!!! I also can't wait to be an AlleyCat! Do I have to go through all I did to get on fire dept (prove I can drink beer, background check, swear to an oath ...)

one good thing about being laid off, it is really nice to get to spend all day everyday with the cats, but wish I had been off last year when I really needed it.

I've heard about the alleycat initiation/hazing-- suffice to say it sounded less painful than being spayed/neutered but more painfull than being declawed.

But well worth it in any case.

From the Alley Cat's rule book:

To become an Alley Cat, unlike other groups, there is no hazing. it's very simple:

Have a meal or a drink with the Alley Cat C-F-P (chief Fur Purrson.)

Wonder who that is ;0)

No drinking binges, no wild hazings...

well THAT's good news. I actually knew someone once who had named their cat "furperson".

I added my absolute FAVORITE photo of Blake, "Blake with a Book of Angoras" (still makes me choke up to look at) and three of my Maine Coon, Truffle. Amazing, you have the same breed of cats, but mine were both the same age.

Catman - I had visions of Bill the Cat from Bloom County in a drunken stupor with a basselope hanging around..... or maybe I just miss that comic strip too much still after all this time. Looking forward to the fraternity.

Cozumel - I missed this earlier, but no, I am not doing the Northwest 10000 promo ( whatever that is ) I am strictly an AA type person.
