Dinner in LA, February 23rd!

Hi, I'll be on a quick mileage run between February 22nd and 25th and wondered, would anyone like to join me for drinks/dinner in LA on Saturday February 23rd?

I'll be arriving on AA2421 from DFW at 12:25pm, staying at the Hilton Garden Inn LAX/El Segundo, which is at 2100 East Mariposa Avenue, El Segundo.

If you're interested, feel free to drop me a line by return e-mail!

(This was also posted on the AA forum. )

Cheers, 777Brit

Sounds good to me. I'll try, once again, to get my husband to come along.

I'm up for any type of cuisine or any place. Let's see, isn't the 23rd the last day of Chinese New Year? Chinese, anyone?

Wish I could be there, but you are a week early for me.. However there is a PF Changs on Rosecrans in El Segundo next to the theatres if you are looking for Chinese. It would be close to the HGI.

You know, this sounds like a great time to plan a trip to LAX.

I'll keep you posted.

Ok, sounds good. Nancy, thanks for the link. This is a new board I need to check out .

I didn't realize that a restaurant had been established.

I was pushing Dave toward a good Thai restaurant near LAX. It is large with big tables that can more easily take on a group.
Very good food!

I love PF Changs, but just a warning. It is always very crowded, dark, and not as conducive for a large group, but if it works for you guys, I am there. I am not sure if we can make reservations?! as that would be highly recommended.

Please keep me posted, take care, Michael

I love PF Chang's. I know the one here in Santa Monica doesn't take reservations. Do any of them and will that be a problem? I've never had to wait more than 10 minutes at this one.

777Brit, do you have a particular time in mind? 7:00ish? Later or earlier?

Looking forward to another fun FT dinner.

None of the PF Chang's restaurants take reservations. The most I've ever had to wait at one is 20 minutes.

I met freeupgrade and SuperSlug at the one close to my place in Dallas last year.

Restaurant Suggestions appear to be:

PF Changs (El Segundo)

Does anyone have any ideas for things to do after dinner? All suggestions are welcome!

>>> The Siam resto is near LAX, Lincoln and Manchester, by the Furama. Maybe an idea for a future dinner . Very good food and service. PF Changs is fine, just a head's up, I have done some serious waiting, but the food is wonderful once you are in and the service is the best!

As for things to do afterward, let me think about that one. The floor is now open for suggestions .

Also, let me stay on the almost def. for the Getty, never done that one before. This could be fun!!

I think I'm flying in to LAX from GVA on the 23rd. So I may join you if I feel up to it. But I'll be quite jet-lagged.

Please remember that the restaraunt at the Getty is substantially more expensive than PF Changs!

Thai is good too.

As far as after dinner, we have had several get togethers at the Hermosa Pier. There are several bars, it's great for people watching, parking is easy, and it's 5 minutes from LAX.

Are there any good Thai restaurants in the neighborhood of Hermosa, wingless?

I haven't had Thai food in years. Love it, too.
