So you're coming to New York
If you're coming to New York City anytime soon, let us know.
The locals would love to meet you for a drink/dinner and flytalk.
Everytime I've attended one of these, I ALWAYS walk away with some good advice.
Anyone is invited. New folks and old timers.
Regards,
Dan

New York/Newark, wherever...
I had a great dinner with some outstanding conversation and some "flyer talk" with LarryU and Doc last Saturday at Forno's of Spain in Newark.
It was a good time and a great way for a "new FT'er" to meet some of the regulars. I encourage anyone who's flying through this neck of the woods to let us locals know when you're in town and we can plan more get togethers...

Here's some info for those where points are not as important as cost:
From Frommers Newsletter
We constantly receive letters from would-be visitors to New York City, imploring us to name hotels where they can rent a room for under $100 a night. There are such places, but their vacancies are few, and a better course is to seek out one of the many companies that provide you with fully furnished studio apartments in New York City. One such firm is called A Hospitality Company--that's three words, "A Hospitality Company"--and it actually owns some 250 apartments in the City, which means that no one lives in them when tourists aren't around. The price starts at just $99 a night, and you get nicer arrangements than you'd receive in a hotel. Call A Hospitality Company at 800/987-1235 or, from New York, call 212/965-1102.
