So you're coming to New York
If you're coming to New York City anytime soon, let us know.
The locals would love to meet you for a drink/dinner and flytalk. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif Everytime I've attended one of these, I ALWAYS walk away with some good advice. Anyone is invited. New folks and old timers. Regards, Dan |
I'll be in NYC (my home town) the first week of July.
Exact dates still to be determined. |
New York/Newark, wherever...
I had a great dinner with some outstanding conversation and some "flyer talk" with LarryU and Doc last Saturday at Forno's of Spain in Newark. It was a good time and a great way for a "new FT'er" to meet some of the regulars. I encourage anyone who's flying through this neck of the woods to let us locals know when you're in town and we can plan more get togethers... Joe. Joe. |
Was just up in midtown two days running (from central Jersey) for some grueling business. Could have used the relaxation. Perhaps next time...

"...next time..." for sure! http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

Here's some info for those where points are not as important as cost:
From Frommers Newsletter We constantly receive letters from would-be visitors to New York City, imploring us to name hotels where they can rent a room for under $100 a night. There are such places, but their vacancies are few, and a better course is to seek out one of the many companies that provide you with fully furnished studio apartments in New York City. One such firm is called A Hospitality Company--that's three words, "A Hospitality Company"--and it actually owns some 250 apartments in the City, which means that no one lives in them when tourists aren't around. The price starts at just $99 a night, and you get nicer arrangements than you'd receive in a hotel. Call A Hospitality Company at 800/987-1235 or, from New York, call 212/965-1102. |
Hammer, I may be up there in 4 weeks for a series of company meetings. I'll keep you posted. ClassicalGal, so you're not from TX but you got here as fast as you could (like me)? Studley |
