Cinco de Mayo in Vegas-o?

just throwing this out there to see if anybody else would be interested in hitting vegas for the cinco de mayo weekend (may4-7). i haven't really checked to see what the casinos are offering, but there's always the big "Fiesta de Mayo" celebration every year at the fiesta casino.

we could name this one the FIV on the fifth (fiesta in vegas).

Were you eavesdropping on our table at the CMD? We talked about a FT get-together in LV, but no one seemed to get too excited about it.

I'll try to make it...just need to check my schedule.

Sounds good to me. I am always up for Vegas. I have a really good friend that lives there. I'll check flights for that week-end.

That's the Kentucky Derby weekend... I'll be at Churchill Downs for it and the Kentucky Oaks as well. Loads of fun AND there's a casino 20 minutes away if you need more than horseracing.

Why is a Vegas FT get together not catching on. I think it is a fabulous idea.

Maybe people do not like the dates MileCrazy or the title of the thread is not drawing attention.

If Cinco de Mayo week-end does not work for people lets propse some other dates. I am flexible.

well, it looks like one definite (MileCrazy), and 4 maybes (Shadow, ChanelCinq, AnnaS, & Catman - via email). i'll look into what mexican restaurants vegas has to offer for saturday night. anybody have a problem with a mexican theme for dinner on Cinco de Mayo?

the more the merrier. let us know if anyone else can make it that weekend (or any other weekend -- i'm always game for a vegas getaway).

I'm trying real hard to make this happen, tied in with another business trip. It's not been easy so far...flights into & out of LAS that weekend are pretty full.

Has anyone booked a hotel yet? Where are you staying?

To be continued....

My crystal ball can't see that far in the future, but I'd lay 3to5 that I'll be home in Las Vegas that weekend

MileCrazy I think I am going to have to pass on this one. Air fare is really high to LAS that week-end. I guess I waited too long but I have been out of the country.

The fares are pricing out higher than a SFO/JFK flight and I am not even considering my preferred carrier which is even more.

This is not a definite no but it doesn't look good.
