OK my flights are booked. Airfare dropped a little. MileCrazy add me to the confirmed list.

I am not staying in a hotel, but rather with a good friend in Henderson. I do not believe he will be able to make dinner though.

Looks like the odds have changed, I will be headed home to Vegas this week and not scheduled to leave until May 8th (Ocho de Mayo ?). Let me know if I can help anyone.

Airfare is probably climbing as people book for the Networld+Interop show that starts 5/7 (that's what I'm going for, 7th trip there since Jan '00).

As for Mexican food, might I suggest a place a bit more authentic. I grew up in ELP so I can be a good judge!

There is a place on Sahara called La Barca. Nothing fancy (not even close), but REALLY GOOD. It is actually a Mexican Seafood place and has some great stuff.

A bit of trivia on this place: In the movie Fools Rush In (1997, Salma Hayek & Matthew Perry) this is the restaurant where the two main characters meet in line to use the restroom. It has since moved to a new location on Sahara. I tried it earlier this months and it was fabulous.

For another good one, try Batista's The Hole in the Wall (Italian). This place is classic Vegas and has been around for 30+ years. It is behind the Barbary Coast and I recommend reservations.

Have fun!
