Washington DC on March 23rd?

I'll be in Washington DC on the 22rd of March to participate in a Cornell University conference and will be staying around on Friday to see US Airways, Marriott and MCI. I'll probably have some free time before flying out late in the day. Anyone in the area like to get together?

Ideas? I know we have a pretty strong contingent of FTers in the DC area, so here's my trip to see the Cherry Blossoms.....

Seems I'll be missing you by a week!

Is NYC the next stop by chance?

Randy, unfortunatly, I, and a gaggle of other FTers will be in NYC for the Catman Do. Just about any other weekend you are in DC/BAL/PHL/NYC would be great.

Randy, I'm on a 9:30pm flight out of IAD on 3/22 (sadly NOT on a flight to NYC). Any chance I could buy you a drink at the RCC at IAD that evening if that's your point of embarkation when you are "flying out late in the day???"

Actually, from DC I'm headed to Atlanta for a dinner on Friday night. I've arranged to meet up with Christine Pierce of the Delta SkyMiles program to review the efforts of SaveSkyMiles so I can put together a report to those who have contributed to the cause. While Delta has made news regarding a loss this last quarter, they named everything to blame other than their own actions and I personally think that the change in their program contributed to that loss as many upset members booked travel away. So, it's DL#221 at 5pm for me on the way to Atlanta from DCA.

Sorry I can't make the train.

So does this mean then by chance, that you'll actually be flying to NYC on Saturday?

Oh yeah... and are you flying DL to ATL?

Oh yea, I'm flying DL to ATL because part of the charm is to always show up holding a boarding pass issued on the airline that I'm talking with. Likewise, I'll have a US Airways boarding pass on Friday when I see them, a hotel receipt from the Marriott Wardman there in DC when I see Marriott on Friday and of course my MCI calling card when visiting them on Friday. Oh yes, though the years I have learned how to be polite with these programs, especallly when I want something......

As for NYC, it would probably be great but I hear it is sold out and besides, I've got to get back home and 'herd the cats' on FlyerTalk. You guys and gals have been very difficult on me lately and I can't risk taking a night off from playing CAT COMMANDER. Say what you will, but I really do miss that very playful and meaningful part of our past.

Marriott Wardman- so close, and yet no time to see the Pandas?!

Well surely your time is well spent!

And hopefully very well enjoyed also!

See you at the Freddie Awards anyway!

Randy, having gone to the Marriott Wardman (nee Sheraton) almost ever January for the last 15 years for a conference.... make sure that the they put you in the new section, not the old creepy annex that faces Calvert Ave. And if you like Middle Eastern fare and only have time for a quick dinner, the Lebanese Taverna across Conn. Ave. is rather good.

Randy, it would be a pleasure to meet you next weekend if I am not away. Please drop me a line for lunch during the week or to meet for a airport lounge drink in DCA. Keep us posted on your weekend trip.

Randy-

Is it easier for you to respond to public posts than private emails??

Am anxious to lock down logistics for DC, so I can book travel ASAP.

Grazi!
