I just ignore the junk FlyerTalkers as johna says, but I still love FT.

I think FlyerTalk is one of the most fun additions I have made to my life in the past few years:

Great Fun Times:

Chicago with AnnaS, Mauld and Comicwoman, crashing glass ceilings, mystery parties and chasing cows.

Seattle with Jamiel, Newself and DTTB, drinking in the club, laughing talking and riding the train.

Seattle with my older brother Rudi, and all the rest of my family, at the dinner theater circus.

San Francisco at the Top of the Mark, where I first met QuantumLeap, Marie, johna, Karen2, Einer, dgolds . Walking through the streets of SFO with the FT crew and my crazy older brother, dressed up in his yellow stretch pants and flowered hat.

The first annual Seattle party, party, party. Mileage Addict's first dinner party, meeting the incomparable Jackie and her date Shadow, hitting the Redhook Brewery with AusTXHiker, auh20, and Catman, et al., sailing with Mweiss, et al., lunch, meeting TravelWeary and Michael, dinner at Tillicum Village. Way cool.

New York with the fab group of PremEx, Catman, Burkey, and AnnaS. Way more fun than I can ever tell--especially the whacky walk back to The Plaza, not to mention The Plaza. Also met the inscrutable RichG.

The PIP Express. One of life's greatest moments, which my brother Rudi and his amazingly charming, beautiful wife, Gisela slept through. The PIP. Meeting Randy and crew, and 66 other dear and wonderful FlyerTalkers, including Tropical, Beckles, Nancy, Onefreeman, Raeban, Mr. Limo, Old Gold, Kyklin, Jailer, Craig, and the fabulous Scared of KGB, Fly me too, Brigette, NJDavid, Helen for a weekend that will live in my mind forever. Koko, Matt, Koko, Matt. Koko on the matt, koko on the matt.

Another party in SFO, followed by a wonderful weekend in Tampa. Dinner at Berns with lots of the above, plus QuietLion, Hunnybear, George1004, Essexjay, et al.

Oh yeah, Catman Do II. A party to set even NYC on it's heels. You can check the record for that event, but I'll tell you that two of my favorite off-the-record happenings were taking the PATH with RichG and showing JimB around 5th Avenue on this, his first visit to the Big Apple.

Oh, I almost forgot, dinner in Alexandria, Jetsetter and then the FAQ (thank you so much Ric and Brigette in Montreal--Tuly Amazing Experience--SFO, sailing with letiole, Rod and TWIZ, PDX, Dusseldorf, which had so many heros and heroines, including Bernie, Mizu, Belle, Gaucho, Richard and let me hold a place here to come back and add it scores more, please, like Stimpy, Nanook, Trans World One. Actually far more wonderful, cities, experiences, people and times than I can recount. Did I almost forget, Seattle again, meeting Smooth, Nathan Detroit, Larry U, watergirl, and so, so many more.

Meeting Jon Toner for dinner in St. Louis.

So I take all this fabulous stuff and put it on one side of the scale called Lucky, lucky Punki, she belongs to the Flyer Talk Community. Then I take a few annoying blips and put them on the other side of the scale called Background Noise.

I personally have experienced nothing but kindness, wisdom, caring, generosity and friendship from the FlyerTalk folks I have met, including those who have over the years come under the most stringent scutiny.

Should I stick with Flyer Talk or should I go?? No Contest!!! My glass is way more than half full.

At the serious risk of not following my own advice...

Wingless had the right to feel the way she felt; on some days there are others. Punki has put the whole thing into perspective... what a great place to end this sad thread!
