Do you always declare them upon entry to the US or do you wait to get questioned...? Also, when declaring, do you state their origin or do you just specify "cigars"...? I declared them once - 2 (?) years ago at IAD (I don't think I have to declare them as long as it is less than 50 pieces). And I have been searched once (SFO). Both times the costumer officer noticed that 'they' were cubans - and both times he did let them in when I answered thruthfully that they are for my own consumption (they never digged deeper by asking if 'all of the cigars were for my own consumption ...)

Say Catman,

Maybe I have my priorities mixed up but.....

I know everyone likes the idea of getting miles for travel....

but..........

since I'm a New Yorker my main concern is...

THE RESTAURANT!

Which one and where?

I just checked Zagat's. They rate this place a very upbeat 18.

That's ok by me.

The times:
March 9-11th
March 16-18th

would work best for me... although I may flock south for spring break --- please understand that I haven't ruled CATMAN DO TROIS, but it's a toss-up between someplace that traditional spring breakers go or CATMAN DO TROIS.

Perhaps this is a bit juvenile, but perhaps any interested attendees of CATMAN DO TROIS would consider attending a taping of The Late Show or Late Night With Conan 'O Brian [I would suggest SNL, but there are plans for Saturday night, and from what I've heard, obtaining SNL tickets is a difficult task] If those options seem too juvenile for attendees of CATMAN DO TROIS, then perhaps there may be some interest in seeing a Broadway or Off-Broadway show.

OMNI: Catman, perhaps you could showcase some of your feline friends on Letterman for "Stupid Pet Tricks". [don't take that with offense, most of the Pets on Letterman's "Stupid Pet Tricks" are quite talented]

I don't like COLD so the later the date the better. The May weekend is nice, but it looks like nobody is leaning that way. I agree that St. Pat's would be nice; haven't been to NYC for that in years and years. Just give us the dates ASAP so those of us that can make commitments that far out have the opportunity to do so. If it is in April I may be able to wiggle an umpiring assignment out of someone so I can write off the trip!!!

From the looks of things, mid-late march weekends have the lead. But I am hoping to finalize a date by November, so I can focus on the Holiday season (and to be selfish, many many parties for my birthday -- which you all know when it is.)

The only definite event is the Saturday night dinner. Sunday brunch depends on interest, Friday night welcoem dinner the same.

The rest of the time you are all on your own at this point. I may be up to sightseeing but I may need half a day to recover from each party!

Thanks for your flexability.

I'd really like to come and meet some other FTers if work/travel schedule permits; first weekend is not good for me, but everything else looks possible as of now.
