FlyerTalk luggage tag encounters?
I wasn’t lurking for a couple of months earlier this year, so maybe I’ve missed discussions on this topic, but have there been any serendipitous FlyerTalk luggage tag encounters out there yet? (How many people actually ended up purchasing tags?)
I’ve been on the lookout for (and proudly sporting my own) tags , but no luck thus far. Which is somewhat surprising, as I’m now flying ORD-SNA (and occasionally LAX when bad weather hits like last week) on a weekly basis – all airports rife with FlyerTalkers.
Anyone else out there make a connection yet?

bokich, great to see you back here...
I was going through my address book the other day & wondered where you've been.
Here's a link to a thread I started about the tags: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/Forum95/HTML/000295.html
I posted a Trip Report last week where I finally had a connection with the 'sootkase tag', as arturo has so aptly named them. Just read Part 1 of the report for the connection (it was with a lady who works for Starwood, no less). http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/Forum81/HTML/000806.html
Anyway, glad you're back here...

Thanks, shadow, for the warm welcome "home." My FF obsession certainly hasn't abated, however, a large project kicked off at work the beginning of this year and so I didn't have time to even peek in @ FT. The project is still ongoing, but I'm hoping to be hanging around and contributing a bit more these days.
Sounds like you definitely had a true 'sootkase tag' encounter! Pretty cool report.

MauiGirl - The tags (along with other related FlyerTalk merchandise) is available in the FlyerTalk online store. To get there, go to www.flyertalk.com. At the top of the page there will be a tab called "Store" - everything should be available there.
The tags are only $1.50 - so get one and increase the likelihood of an encounter!
