A FlyerTalk Special Event!

We’d like to tell you about a special opportunity to get your questions answered and hear about what’s news with frequent flyer programs. Our very own Randy Petersen will host a LIVE online session TONIGHT on Talk City that will allow you to ask questions and see what’s he has to say to other travelers and the issues of the day.

This regular program, to be known as FLYERTALK LIVE! Will be held every second Wednesday of the month at the same times. Got some questions to ask? Come chat with Randy at either one of the links below.

To Recap:

WHAT: FlyerTalk Live!
WHEN: Wednesday, November 11th
TIME: 9p.m. Eastern Standard Time, 8p.m. Central Standard Time, 7p.m. Mountain Standard Time and 6p.m. Pacific Coast Time
WHERE:

http://www.webflyer.com/@randy wheresrandy.htm

http://www.talkcity.com/calendar/events/event2514.htmpl

WHY: Because frequent flyer programs are great to talk about, and we all
have information to share.

Next live sessions: December 9th and January 13th.

Rudi - I'll be fully occupied with significant others (and eating swiss chocolates, thank you), so there's no way I'll be able to attend either...

Sorry, I wont be attending either. After the brutally long day I just had, I would rather relax at home with a glass of wine, some nice music, my lovely wife and....our seven month old baby boy that just figured out how to crawl! Kitties better look out!

I'm sorry I missed Wednesday night's Live
Chat with Randy (Had to earn some serious
Frequent Sleeping miles, triple points for
snorers like me) but I'm glad FlyerTalk decided to make this a monthly event.

Hope it went well, Randy. Promise if I go
on there will be no OMNI topics or Cat references! CATMAN

Matt - Aubie may be able to help you (?) I know that he has a Belgian girlfriend.

My partner flew Sabena this summer, & with no ff status or even prior flights with them, got upgraded... maybe you'll be lucky too.

Sabena belongs to the Qualiflyer-group (Swissair has a 49.9% share-stake in them). You can use Delta-miles for upgrades.

why only 49.9% ? (50.1% shares belong to the belgian state).

this way, the EC (European Community) consider Sabena still a belgian (owned) company - with all the advantages of beeing IN the EC. These advantages would get lost if Swissair had the majority (Switzerland not being in the EC).

And as it is, Swissair can play Duett on this political-piano (as SR non EC - as daughter Sabena in the EC).

Matt Wald: I might have been there if I had known earlier that it was going to happen, but I didn't see your post until the 12th. Obviously too late. Remind us a week or so in advance (the "second Wednesday" note isn't likely to be enough for most of us). I'd be interested in knowing how many folk (regular or occasional) showed up.

My last thing should have named Michael, not Matt Wald. Sorry.
