Hmm I guess at this point I should probably figure out how I'm getting from AUH or HKG and where I'm going to stay

Sadly, I must ask the organizers to demote me from Gold to Bronze status. Family medical issues will prevent my going anywhere for the foreseeable future, which includes May. I'll miss you all, but I'm sure you'll have a great time. I look forward to enjoying OzFest 15 vicariously by seeing everyone's photos, especially but not only tom911's, and reading about it!

Sadly I have missed this opportunity. I see now fares SYD-MCY are ~ 200 - 250 AUD each way. Perhaps there will be another sale.

You need to look between 11pm Wednesdays and 7am Thursdays Pacific Daylight Time - and it does not come up for the routes / dates every week.

Just booked at the RACV Noosa Resort May 25 - 27 (2 nights), at AAA rate, 199 AUD a night. Thank you Fredd for this great rate advice.

I thought I had already confirmed JohnK, Mrs JohnK and Miss mini JohnK are Platinum for this event.

We are staying at Anchor Motel Friday & Saturday nights. We will be driving up from Brisbane Friday afternoon and drive back to Brisbane Sunday afternoon.

For the next 10¾ hours, "Sunshine Coast" ex SYD AUD99 each way and ex MEL AUD $129 each way are available.

serfty - Thank you for posting. I had a look, and these very reasonable fares are generally weekday fares. Unfortunately we need to travel Friday and return Sunday. These fares are much, much higher.
