Come on guys, come up with a suggestion for Saturday

Otherwise, I'm proposing an evening of :-

- Drinks at The Dubliner, followed by
- Dinner at Sukhothai (or another restaurant at Le Meridien Village), followed by
- Entertainment at Jules

Anyway, I've booked a table for 10 at Traiteur for 12:30 on the 5th September.

Does anyone know how to contact Deidre? She said she was a definite, but I've not heard from her, and I can't seem to send her PMs.

Anyway, I can always adjust the numbers later.

Totally forgot to come back and confirm I'm booked (with a +1).

Arriving late Thu eve and departing late Sun eve. Park Hyatt as usual (suite confirmed) and definitely in for Traiteur on Fri.

Where are we going post brunch?!

Mcgittigans WTC for some live music?

Saturday I will mainly be in bed recovering! Suprised no one has suggested the A380 Simulator in the Dubai mall...

I will be happy to referee instead of part take

That simulator is utter c**p. The 737 one upstairs is more professional and fun, however the same company that owns the 737 one at Dubai Mall is rumored to be bringing in an A380 simulator similar to the 737 one they have some time soon.

Friday evening is a good time to go out in Dubai, but I recommend something other than food after the feast at the brunch. If for some odd reason someone might feel hungry I would recommend La petite maison (booking recommended) or Zuma on the upper lounge level where you can mix drinks and/or dinner (also booking recommended if we are a big group)

Two of the most expensive places in Dubai! Lol Such a waste after a brunch...

Well, spelling my name right might help. I've got my travel booked. I'll be there.

Apologies! For some reason, it wouldn't let me send you a PM.

I've sent you one. Hope this helps.

I'm booked from Warsaw (!) right now, but will be too exhausted if I take that itinerary, so I'm looking for alternates. I am considering the OS nonstop, which would get me in Th eve at 9pm.

Tentatively in + 1 for the brunch. Will confirm asap.

As for what to do after the brunch - depends on just what levels of rowdiness you want to experience. In order of least to most, a few suggestions:

Stay at the PH for more drinks at The Terrace, overlooking the Creek
As KU104 mentioned, upstairs at Zuma
Atelier M
360
Jetty Lounge/Rooftop at One & Only
Calabar at Address Downtown - overlooking the fountains
.
.
Barasti
Irish Village
Double Deckers

I'm not sure 360 is open again yet? Far too hot for Jetty lounge too even in early Sept. Same for sitting out at the terrace at the PH. They are also way to far to go as post brunch places from the PH.

We really need to think indoors and not double decker.

Calabar isnt a bad shout as its happy hour. Mcgittigans WTC has live music and pretty decent post brunch DYKWIA and others went there last time.

Hi - hope you can make it!

If there are any others considering joining us, please let me know as soon as you are certain. We currently have 11 'definites' and a table for 10. So, I'll need to change the booking at some point.

I'll PM everyone nearer the time with the details. Basically, it's a table for 10 in my name

As for afters... I think we should just see how it goes. In previous years, the group has split up and gone their separate ways (I always end up with the drunks for some reason).

Talking of drunks... Is our resident EK Webmeister following this? He's not been in touch... PM me - You Know Who You Are.

I was considering tentatively booking something - lucky I checked this thread because there's only one J award seat left on OS for that flight and I'd rather not snatch that from you!

Latest post brunch spot is Cargo in the marina, there is also another Brit pub upstairs as well as the rather nice Fume downstairs.

Pier 7 next to Marina Mall, https://www.facebook.com/CargoDubai
