It seems that most folks are still OK with the usual labor day scheduling... unless I get a lot of alternate feedback in the next few days, I may just set the dates as usual.

What works for you? A big part of COW DO is the wine tasting IMO, even though the name seems to focus on the meat. [BTW, for newbies it's not a cattle drive, although IIRC a few folks in some previous years did spend a day at some sort of ranch experience for tourists, including horseback riding.]

Since Boo DO has gone the way of the Do Do bird and October-November is much warmer than Labor Day, I would vote for a couple of months later than in the past.

Last December was the hottest in 40 years with major power outages and nasty nasty weather. January hasn't been a lot better. September sounds lovely! (Earlier than September, while it could be lovely, can be very cold, and the days are short.)

The two times I've participated in COW DO, late August and early September weather has been wonderful.

Im flexible, anytime between March and end of October is good for me. Starting November, my life gets complicated as the end of the year Corporate Gifts season kicks in very strong and I have very little time to do other things, but before that Im able to accommodate whatever suits most Folks.

And yes, the Wine Tastings and the various forms of Grilled Dead Cow will certainly be part of the scheduled activities.....

I agree... December and Jan/Feb are not options for both weather and in my case schedule issues.

Jan & Feb are school vacation months and I have my calendar blocked in kids-priority mode....

I am definitely interested this year if I can make the timings work around my work schedule.

With respect to dates, it is hard to commit at this early stage, but the earlier I know, the earlier I can "plan around it".

I'd love to do a Cow Do. My only request would be to schedule over a long weekend if possible. Labour Day (as we Canadians like to spell it ) would suffice for this reason.

Folks, this Do will be held, as usual, over the Labor Day Weekend.

Thanks to all that provided input.

Time to have this thread closed.......

Thanks for communicating the decision early in the year, so that folks can plan their travel. I have an upgrade earmarked for COW DO once again.
