Post Cow Do X in EZE (Buenos Aires) - lets fix the date thread

So.... to all the Malbec and Meat lovers that come or have thought of coming down to EZE, its about time I set the dates for the next Cow Do. Rather than do this right away, Im looking to get input from all those that are interested, considering or have firm plans to come down to this Do... the idea is to get feedback from folks on what dates they would prefer.

As the host of this now traditional FlyerTalk Do, Im afraid I will still hold the "executive decision" on when this is going to happen, but after a couple of years of getting requests/suggestions about perhaps hosting this on another date, I would like to hear from all of you.

History has had this FT gathering happen on Labor Day Weekend, and the past 9 (nine) consecutive annual events have always been held during these dates. Im fairly flexible on when to host this, from some input Ive already gathered it would seem that sometime after Labor Day would be best... but again, Im looking for comments and input from all.

For those that want to read more about previous Cow Do events, please see the following threads....

Thanks for posting and for passing the word around....

Cheers from EZE,
Alex / Gaucho100K

If you are interested in coming to EZE, please post.... or if you know of someone that has been down here before and could consider returning, please let them know about this thread

Ha in EZE 24 FEB - 5 MAR probably too close notice for a proper DO. But a meetup could work

Now that I'll have a Visa I'll have to watch this thread ^

If the majority of attendees come from that part of the world then that's fair enough I suppose.

I'll see if the wife will give me the day off.

For Beatriz and I, any date later than August won't work because schools starts for our kids on September 2. However, I'm not sure that we'll be able to go down to Argentina around that time, so our schedule should have very small priority. I hope we can come down though, its already been a year since we left and we are all eager to see our friends and family there!

For me the Labor Day weekend works well, but if I want to spend some extra time down south, it needs to be before rather than after the event.

Later in the fall is harder, especially between midOctober and earlytomidDecember with the exception of Thanksgiving weekend.

IMO the weather has been good around Labor Day weekend and it's not high season in BsAs, which is also good.

Any of those dates are fine with me. I'll just have to hope I can get away from work, but won't know for sure until (July? August?).

I do not have my schedule for the second half of the year yet, so cannot propose any dates. Anyway, if the date gets fixed before I get my schedule that would be even better because I might be able to work around that to ensure I can attend.

For me, it's much better if the date is carved in stone well before the end of February so that I can buy a plane ticket then.

Appreciate you asking for responses this year! From those who have responded, it seems that Labor Day or before seems to be the trending response. I've never understood why more N Americans do not take advantage of the glorious weather that July/Aug/Sept provides & travel to further north latitudes. Oh well.

While I personally would like to see the Cow Do held at a date after Labor Day, this year there is no way that I can make it due to some family & personal issues, so it would not be right for me to state a preference on date of the Cow Do.

carry on Gaucho & thanks for continuing such a great Do^
