Well, looks like the $100 I saved by booking Tiger will be spent after all.

I was looking at TT292 for a while and wasn't sure...but after seeing the 30% sale I pulled the trigger and now I'm on that flight as well. I wanted the extra legroom and the total was quite reasonable even after the premium seat fee. Feel free to mark me down as Platinum on the list instead of gold!

60 days to go Count Down Clock

Ozbeachbabe has been doing a lot or work in developing a full range of activities to showcase the best of the Red Centre. Activities & Who is doing what as post 6

37 have signed up as Platinum Definite
5 have signed up as Gold Maybe - possible
9 have signed up as Silver Interested
13 have indicated Bronze can't make it
Expect another 2 or 3 to sign up (after cancellations). Some Platinum's will cancel (as always).

Time for Gold's and Silver's to consider if they can come. As with other Oz Fest's people can sign up few days before, but some pre booked activities may be restricted

Of the 37 who are Platinum, 24 are from Australia, 12 from USA and 1 from New Zealand

30 of the 37 are repeat offenders Only 7 newbies at this time
13 of the 37 have attended the last 4 Oz Fests (PER CBR DRW ADL)
14 of the 37 have attended the last 3 Oz Fests (PER CBR DRW)
22 of the 37 attended Oz Fest 10 PER (59 attended) (37%)
22 of the 37 attended Oz Fest 09 CBR (51attended) (43%)
6 of the 37 attended Oz Fest 02 SYD (58 attended) (10%) (long term serial attendees )
2 of the 37 attended Oz Fest 01 SYD (21 attended) (9%)

At the 60 days to go mark
60 Plat's had signed up for Oz Fest 10 PER (59 attended) [so 102% of Plat's had signed up]
47 Plat's had signed up for Oz Fest 09 CBR (51 attended) [so 92% of Plat's had signed up]
48 Plat's had signed up for Oz Fest 08 DRW (44 attended) [so 109% of Plat's had signed up]

Attendees as post 4
Hotels: Who is staying where in post 7
Getting to and about Alice & Uluru/Ayers Rock in post 8.
Flights: Who is flying where in post 10

Love the countdown.

Can you please sign me up for all the activities (a Yes in every column on your spreadsheet).

Accom:
2 nights at the Doubletree Alice Springs (Friday / Saturday nights)
1 night sharing an apartment in Ayers Rock / Uluru with some other FlyerTalkers... I'm not sure which place it is, but it has been "booked" (Sunday night)

Looks like the flights I am on have become the "party flights". I am happy to assist with guesting into lounges for anyone without QF/EK/OneWorld status.

Will add you to the activities list, but Ozbeachbabe is working on getting trybooking.com or equal on line like was done last year. If anyone want's to assist with the trybooking set up wave your hand/PM/email.

I'm wondering whether I should book a night at a property in Uluru just to have something to fall back on. I've held off 'til now so as not to decrease the number of unsold rooms, and thereby make the hotel operator less willing to deal. But we're now less than 60 days out and the planning side of me (a/k/a anal retentive side, but I'm all for sugar-coating the label) would like to get my ducks in a row. Suggestions?

It is safely locked in my desk in the Melbourne office. I am in Darwin and Sydney this week, but shall PM you to arrange to drop it back to you

I can help out if needed, but just as happy to pay Sarah directly as that cuts out the "middle man" who chews up quite a bit in fees.

But the only people who think you live in Melbourne is the Australian Tax Office. The rest of us know you live in Boeing's, Airbus's & airport lounges and Hilton hotels

Concerned about the Fredd s as they live and have family in the Washington area where the terrible mudslide happened yesterday. I hope they will check in here.

I'm with you gvdIAD. Mrs QF WP wants to know where we are staying - but I have no answer. I don't think she'll do a tent...

Having visited them on the cost North of Bellingham, I am pretty sure they themselves would be ok.

Not sure if any of their family live near where the slide happened.

They have a blog site and their last entry was Friday but could not find a reference to Oso.
