toomanybooks: LOL, no GG isn't connected to Griffin Gate, although we used to belong to their "health club", and ran a fair number of social weekends resembling FT Do's (ppl with a common interest getting together) at that hotel. GG's sort of a family nym.

I didnt think there were still 4 people on tobb other than the founders...
My schedule is firming up. I have to fly out to LA the morning of the 7th so i am going back and forth between driving my own car or driving one way and flying out of lex or sdf.

I'm a Columbus native who moved south to LEX after grad school. Lived there 8 years before moving to the west coast. Really miss that beautiful countryside, the great people, and the laid-back life. Not to mention the cost of living...
Being new here, not sure I was ready to jump into a DO but, then....
I read that. Hahaha. Doubt that the wife and I could make it, but I'm going to try. Would be a great chance to see some old friends and make some new ones.
While I'm at it, let me suggest:
Dinner at Holly Hill Inn. Short drive from LEX, local ingredients, top notch
Woodford Reserve Distillery. Closest and one of the best.
Four Roses Distillery. Spanish Colonial Buildings in the heart of the Blue Grass. Beautiful place.
