I have 2500 Starpoints ( just had them gifted from SPG for the No Water issue @ FTU LAX ) I do need 1500 more to reserve Friday and Saturday. Hows the best way to get them? Dobolina and I are looking for lowball fares from LAX as well. I assume the rental cars are inexpensive there as well? Willie still dont give my Shotgun seat away in the rental car ( with unlimited mileage ) for any FFF!! I may still drive with you guys if Dobolina decides not to come ( he does not want to drive from ORD ) Im telling him its the roadtrip of the decade..

LEX can be expensive to fly into. Look at a redemption, including Avios. Also look at SDF and other alternate airports.

I doubt rental cars are especially expensive.

I have a hotel reservation so put me into the at least maybe category. It is still way too far out to know if I can actually attend, but my fingers will be crossed.

Cheers -

Friday afternoon: horse farm visit (hoping mile ho can pitch in here)

Friday dinner: TBD

Saturday & Sunday are interchangible at this point: one day will be going to a distilery or two & of course lunch & a dinner, the other day will be going to the races.

I'd also like to fit in another visit to Stella's for breakfast, I still dream about that.

Unfortunately, my participaton has slipped to questionable. There's one weekend each early spring where I have to observe field tests for one of my projects, and it looks like that's going to be the first choice of weekend. It is weather permitting, however, so I may end up just double-booking and deciding which city to go to on that Friday AM (the beauty of Southwest).
