Good news: the restaurant has agreed to increase our reservation size to 8. We now have space for one more if anyone is interested.

(I'm going to snag them now, but I may give them back in 30 minutes, in case anyone else wants to/can go.)

Enjoyed this outing, thanks. Lots of fun talking about the Smization of the
flying experience, and the food was good, too. Great to meet those of you
I hadn't encountered before. Safe travels to all!

Likewise, I really enjoyed dinner last night. It was great to see a bunch of familiar faces and meet a few new ones!
mhnadel - excellent suggestion on the restaurant. I don't think we had a single bad dish last night.

I enjoyed the food and the company, too. The single tracking on the Orange Line, not so much, but that's how things go with metro.
Thanks for the leg work on the reservation.
I think we should be looking at something in Virginia for the next shindig, since our last two have been in the District. I know Mike Isabella has a new mezze place in Ballston. But maybe there is somewhere in Clarendon we haven't been to or at least haven't been to recently?

Bracket Room may not be a bad option, actually. Or, my favorite, but which would be a very different vibe: Oby Lee creperie.
It was great seeing everyone last night!

Four Sisters opened a branch of their long-standing and very-well-reviewed (Mosaic? Seven Corners?) Vietnamese place on Clarendon Blvd, half a block from the Metro, a couple months ago

We would like to thank FlyerBeek for getting us a table for 8 at one of the hottest places in DC. Some of the locals I was talking to this evening said that they were going there Monday since it was the first time since it had opened that they were able to get a table.
Quite a good job, FlyerBeek. ^

Last time we were at 4 Sisters (in the Mosaic District), it had gone downhill quite a bit. Maybe they are injecting their energy into the Clarendon one?
Based on the Yelp reviews, Oby Lee actually sounds really good to me.

The newest place in the neighborhood is Citizen Burger, which only opened last week in the spot once occupied by 11. Haven't had the food yet, but the menu looks good and the original Charlottesville location is reputedly great.
