Oldtimers will learn a trick or 2. Someones throw-away statement may be my moment.
Newbies may be overwhelmed with the treasure trove of ideas they're about to experience.

I'm confirmed, no hotel. It’s the day before BikeNY so I'll be in the area already...
Note to others, somewhere around page five there is the following post which has instructions for registering and paying via cc or paypal - for some reason they have not added it to the first page where all the official information is: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/15918846-post49.html

Tried register, but guestlist kept giving me an error message, contacted support and will see what happens.
On a another note, Flushing NY, where the hotel is located is absolute heaven when it comes to regional Chinese and Korean dinning, incredibly delicious and ridiculously cheap. I suggest those who ain't flying out that evening and haven't had enough of the FT stuff yet to consider having dinner there (and continue bonding by discuss more FT stuff of course). I know I'll be up for it for sure.
An old NYT article here about food in Flushing, it has only gotten better since then: http://www.nytimes.com/2008/07/30/di...0flushing.html

I'm registered.
This idea is very exciting. Thank you for organizing. It's great practice for smd3 .
Both audiences will find it useful. We're a community which loves to share and teach and help each other so you'll be in good hands.

Count me in for dinner in this awesome area.
