Any additions for tomorrow night's dinner at 7:00 pm at Ruth's Chris Steakhouse in Tyson's Corner? The menu looks quite appetizing!

I'll reduce the reservation midday tomorrow unless our party grows from 4 to 6.

Slight change of plans, we are now shooting for the FAIRFAX location not Tysons for a 7pm dinner at Ruth Chris on Monday evening.

Are you serious about Fairfax instead of Tyson's? I am caught up enough that I can actually make it and the Fairfax location is considerably less irritating.

Okay, Monday night's reservation has been moved from the Tyson's Corner Ruth's Chris location to the Fairfax location. And mhnadel has been added to the reservation.

Thanks to all who made it to Ruth's Chris last night. The meal and the company were both excellent. I came home sated and satisfied.

There's still time to join us Wednesday at 1789 and Thursday at Art and Soul. Both reservations are for 7:00 pm and both have empty seats available. Please post to the thread if you're interested.

Swap Thursday for Wednesday?

A friend just offered me an excellent seat for Thursday's Nats game. Any chance I can exchange my spot at Art and Soul Thursday for one at 1789 Wednesday?

[insert joke about fees for changes made within the 72-hour window]

I'll add you to 1789 (I'll note once again the "jackets preferred" policy for gentleman, but I'll also add that it is August and it is Restaurant Week, and the lawyer in me insists on pointing out that "preferred" does not mean "required"). See you tomorrow.

Any other takers for art and soul on Thursday? With only two, I just want to be sure we are going to have two there?
Or change the res so as not to irritate the restaurant.

I can still make it. But, if you want to cancel due to low attendance, I would not be heartbroken as I have a sufficient backlog of things to do at home to keep me out of trouble.

So I figured out the secret .... I need to leave DC by 8.50 pm. That way, I miss almost all of the construction delays. Setup begins at 9p, so I made it home in what is record time for the trip these days by avoiding most of it. 15 or 20 minutes later, and there would have been one point where it was down to one lane from three, and another where there was a lane loss also, so down to one from two there.

With no more takers, I'm going to cancel Art and Soul.
Maybe try again in the fall.

A reminder --

We have one final Restaurant Week reservation:

Date: Tuesday, August 23, 2011
Time: 7:00 pm
Place: The Grille at the Morrison House

1. gvdIAD
2. GoingAway
3. mot29
4. mhnadel

I reduced the reservation size to 4 as UNHBuzzard will instead be experiencing the joy of shopping for a new car.
