Any concern over meeting the required Food & Beverage minimum at the dinner venue is significantly reduced thanks to the growing attendee list.

You all know who you are - I'm counting on you!

Even having lived a long time in northern virginia I find that I have not "visited" DC that much.

I live in centreville, so I might be able to help out getting to the metro...
Also live near IAD and the Udvar Hazy Air & Space Museum which amazingly I have not visited considering how many times I ve went to the one in DC, darn parking price.
Welcome to the party (and sorry for the delay in noticing the post)! Hope you can join us for the weekend ... there will be lots to do. Brunch is in Clarendon, if you could make it out there - there would definitely be takers for a ride out to U-H museum afterwards. Dinner on Saturday is a great event at which to meet folks, if you can make it!

I believe I've now updated the second post with the attendee information - if I've missed you, let me know. As I mentioned above, we'll soon be asking for a lot of information via email which will provide information for the final list.

and that's exactly what I said! although if I can convince BD that I flew IAS-BOS instead of IAD-BOS, that would be a good thing to celebrate!

Pending confirmation from work on a request off, please put myself + 1 down. We'll come in BWI and Amtrak on Fri., so likely no car.
Hillwood - yes, local no, car no. Thank you DC folks for doing this.
Natural History or the National Museum of Art would appeal (as would any of the Smithsonians).

Is there more info on the various dinner, brunch, locales yet?

If anyone else is up for baseball...count me in.

Thanks,
Frenchie Flyer

Welcome!! Friday drinks and Brunch information is updated in the first post .... the Saturday dinner venue will (hopefully) be finalized shortly and the menu will be shared once it is.

As soon as Saturday is set, we'll begin the collection process for both information and funds - esp as we have to sign contracts for Saturday dinner and they are requesting a rather large deposit up front

REMINDER: We have a FaceBook Group set up to discuss the event: http://www.facebook.com/?ref=home#!/...d=250591741453

On the dietary question. One vegetarian and one meat and potatoes.

Thanks for asking.

I made a "just in case" hotel booking. And if there are mojitos, you know i'll be helping with the beverage minimum.

I will be able to confirm my participation (and prepay for any events) on April 13 at the latest. If this is an issue, please let me know. For reference, I am still interested in Hillwood, so Yes/No/No (not sure what the * by my yes was for).
