E Ticket in China
I purchased through China Highlights two F class tickets from Shanghai to Guilin and Beijing for my trip next October. I was given a "reservation code" but when I asked for a printout of the reservationto be sent via email I received an unreadable copy of a paper ticket.
Will I have any problems?

Only if you want to change to a different carrier or refund (because you need the e-ticket receipt in order to pull off this much). But, if it makes you feel any better, I've gotten to a point where I don't bother picking up my receipts any more. When things go wrong, I simply buy new tickets and let ctrip sort things out with my credit card company (they can do so much easier if they don't give me that important piece of paper --which I am likely to lose-- in the first place).

Your name and the flight number will get the job done just as well. You can also scan your passport at a kiosk, assuming kiosks are available in your airports.

Regarding China Highlights.
They are great organization to use. They are significantly higher in price than other travel agents but they really know how to make it easy for foreigners.
We used Ctrip for most of our flight needs but when we needed a complicated connections or when Ctrip was sold out, China Highlights came through for us.
They have local guides pick you up and deliver you to your destination without cost. If especially you don't speak any chinese, they are quite handy.
