Directions - SHA to Intercontinental Shanghai Expo?...In Chinese??

I'm hoping someone can recommend a site to get reliable directions IN CHINESE from SHA airport to the Intercontinental - Shanghai Expo.

I've tried Google maps as well as the directions tool on the ICH website, but got conflicting directions.

Any help is appreciated!^

For for what kind of transportation? Taxi? Metro?
If you need a printed route, here's a google link. Be aware, google maps search is not very accurate in China. This is from SHA airport, not from PVG.
Do you need a route description in Chinese?

For a taxi, you can use this address (make sure you enable chinese in older Windows versions):
上海世博洲际酒店
上海市浦东新区雪野路1188号
Phone: 021-3858 1188

Taxi drivers will most likely not know the hotel, but they will call the hotel for directions.

Metro station is far away, not recommended with (heavy) baggage.

If a moderator happens to read this, there's a Shanghai hotels thread, which contains information about directions as well, in the IC forum, and more users will have specific information - so maybe move this? Thanks.

Check out this thread for a recent report on the hotel (directions as well), posts mainly by shareholder: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/inter...hanghai-7.html

Thank you for the response!
Im sending someone into SHA who would like to take a taxi to the hotel.
They requested printed directions in Chinese to hand off to the driver.

I'll take a look in the ICH forum as well^

The taxi driver will most likely be very confused by such detailed directions. I would even strongly recommend not to do this - it will add a lot of confusion... Only a small map (printed on a business card) would help. Unfortunately, I can't find a Chinese business card of that hotel online (yet).

Give them the name and address including a phone number (in Chinese) and have the driver call the hotel for directions, if he doesn't know. That's the "way it works" in China

Edit: Ah, never mind, saw your post in the other forum. Will work with the business card they send you.

Agree fully here. I'd get the street address, cross street, then nearest subway stop. Phone number is essential since likely cabbies won't know. And if the cabby has to use their phone, they typically aren't too happy but it's often a last resort.

That sort of type A behavior usually doesn't go over too well in China.

Please be aware that this card is for InterContinental Pudong, not InterContinental Expo, which is discussed in this thread.
We don't anyone to end up in the wrong hotel
