High Random Selection Rate for WTMDs?
AA and UA are my primary airlines, and they are also the only two that I fly out of MCI. At the AA checkpoint, I've observed over the last several months that the WTMD is set to a much higher random selection rate at the AA checkpoint. Literally, every five pax will get a random, which is usually a hand or laptop swab.
At the UA checkpoint, random selections happen much less often.
Has anybody noticed higher selection rates recently? Just seems odd to have some many randoms, especially with so few staff around to take care of them. Screening stopped for five minutes today while the x-ray operator went over and did a pat-down and then a hand swab.
At the UA checkpoint, random selections happen much less often.
