I don't know who wrote it, but I certainly laughed when I watched it. Mostly because opt-outs are for whole body imaging, not metal detectors; I've never opted out, but it's my understanding that even if you opt out of the WBI, you're still required to go through the WTMD, and if they're using WTMD as primary and there are no WBIs, there is no opting out allowed. Am I wrong?

I also wondered how many people would be confused by the whole, "his claws got cut off, so how did he get new ones, and the new ones aren't metal so how can Magneto freeze him" thing.*

*I know the answers to those questions, if anyone wants to know...

Funny stuff! But, yes - you are wrong about opt-outs being required to go though the WTMD. I opt out at every airport, and I am always escorted around the metal detector. If I try to go through it I am reprimanded for not following instructions. Have been since AIT became primary.

Yeah, I never got that. Perhaps they don't want to have any argument when you don't alarm at the WTMD, but you'd think a pass through would be a sure-fire, double-ought, look how much we've screened this guy, in the public's eye layer of security.

And yet I have to walk around every time or get yelled at.

I've opted out countless times without having been sent through the WTMD before the pat-down.
